A week after the departure of peacekeeper from the Sky City….
The captain of General Hope’s battalion, Captain Zeena came running in the Temple of The Father of Heliopolis. She went running on the gravel path leading to the front door and pushed open the beautifully decorated wooden front doors. Through the small hallway she went that was gleaming with light reflected from the chandeliers on the scarlet and golden tapestry on the walls. Her feet left dusty foot marks on the red carpet. She was running so fast that her surroundings were nothing more than a blur to her. As she entered the throne room, she was met with a slightly disappointing sight; the Father was not there. She dashed past the throne to the door behind and entered into the hall. Slipping slightly on the cushion on the floor, she climbed stairs on the other end and entered the room without knocking.
Standing in front of her was a large man with a slightly beefy figure. He had a large beard that was of pure fire and was wearing large orange robes with golden embroidery. He turned in alarm as she burst in but his expression was merely of shock rather than offended or displeased.
Captain Zeena quickly went on her knees and bowed deeply. She was out of breath and was having difficulty speaking.
‘Catch you breath child,’ said the Father, looking at her with concern.
‘My… apologize… your… highness,’ she panted, ‘but I… but I didn’t know what… to do… General Hope is not here and neither are any of the other Generals.’
‘What has happened?’
‘The… the oddity boy,’ she said, ‘he might get killed.’
‘Seth?’ asked the Father.
She shook her head.
‘Rain?’ asked the Father again, ‘how?’
‘He went to the tower of Sin and asked him to train him.’
‘He asked Sin?’ he repeated in incredulity.
‘Sin turned him down a few times but… but he insisted,’ Zeena continued, ‘getting annoyed Sin attacked him. I was with the boy but couldn’t get close due to the aura pressure.’
She took a deep breath.
‘Rain is defending himself right now,’ she said, ‘if we don’t hurry Sin will kill him.’
Nothing more need be said. The Father swept past her with amazing speed. She turned around and followed but even as she reached the door of the room, he had already crossed the hall and she barely saw a glimpse of his robes fluttering out of sight through the door. Out of the temple, passing by it, the Father was soon near the crooked tower. The people in the streets were surprised to see the lord of their world out without any guard or his convoy. They bowed deeply, barely getting out of his way.
There was huddle of soldiers gathering around the base of the bizarre tower.
‘It’s the Father,’ shouted one of the soldiers. The rest turned around and immediately bowed. As he approached the foot of the stairs he was joined by a long black haired girl of immense beauty. Her eyes of blood red color.
‘Father,’ she spoke, ‘I sensed his aura…’
‘Hurry,’ said the Father. Together they made their way to the top.
The aura kept getting stronger and stronger and it was easy to determine the state of the battle for them without witnessing it; it seemed Sin was relentlessly attacking and Rain was on the defensive. The sound of blades clashing also soon met their ears.
As they reached the top, the scene they saw was although alarming but not entirely unimpressive.
Rain was bent on his knees. His left hand was stuck to the ground by a katana that was stabbed into his palm and went deeply inside the ground. But his right hand was free and he was holding his double katana in it. Sin kept attacking him, but Father and Misha saw in awe as Rain blocked five attacks in a row in his feeble condition.
