The two generals were pinned to the ground by a few nobles. They were trying to get back up but it was proving to be difficult without hurting the nobles.

‘They are under black magic,’ said Moltaar, ‘do not harm them. That Dark Blood is as witty as ever.’

‘I am sorry my lord for not finishing him,’ said Aries.

‘Do not worry,’ said Moltaar in his deep smooth voice, ‘he is out of time. It will happen tonight.’

‘What my lord?’ asked Aries but he realized that he had asked a question he had nothing to do with, ‘I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to pry.’

‘It is alright,’ said Moltaar, ‘I never had any intention of keeping it from you anyways. But you will have no meaning for it. Let us concern ourselves with the more immediate matters.’

‘Yes, my Lord,’ said Aries.

‘Call a few Dark Blood mages and release them from his spell,’ said Moltaar, ‘get a few doctors as well. The generals are injured. Heal and go after Capricorn. He is always trying to impress me. I had intended for you to go and recover the peacekeeper’s body.’

‘You mean to say that he is dead?’

‘He should be or he might be very badly injured,’ said Moltaar, ‘Nether Flux is the darkest form of energy. It will sear through his heart.’

They both were walking in the hall together. Moltaar led the way to Misha’s father. He bent on his knee and placed his hand under the old man’s head and gently lifted him up.

‘Good bye, old friend,’ he said. He softly placed his crystal hand on his eyes and closed them. Moltaar then lifted him up and started walking towards the raised stage in the middle.

‘My lord please,’ said Aries, ‘let me.’

Moltaar simply shook his head. As he neared the stage, he took a deep breath. The marble surface started to change shape. It became a slim marble bed with beautiful design on the sides. Moltaar gently lowered him on the bed and stepped back.

‘You always had such a harsh look on your face,’ he said, ‘you seem so peaceful in death.’

The generals had a little success with the nobles and they managed to hold them off by stabbing their clothes in the ground using knives and kunai on the floor.

‘Aries,’ said Moltaar, ‘I want you to send a report to Lord Ar’Kaleeth.’

Aries nodded.

‘Tell him that the young peacekeeper is no longer the pure boy as he has imagined him to be. He must know that in order to make appropriate changes in his plan. Remember to mention in the report that the peacekeeper roams the worlds with death itself as his guardian.’

‘So that was not peacekeeper’s original powers?’ asked Aries.

‘Of course not,’ sighed Moltaar, ‘have you ever seen anyone with powers like that? We read the reports about the peacekeeper’s way of fighting. He killed our assassins when they tried to kidnap Princess Ayesha last year. He kills, that is true but he doesn’t desire other’s death. The thing that I fought didn’t aim to fight me. It only wished to take my life.’

‘Can I ask a question, my lord,’ asked Aries.

‘Hmm,’ Moltaar nodded. He took a seat on one of the broken pieces of rock. The entire hall was in ruins.

‘Why didn’t you kill him?’

Moltaar smiled.

‘My Lord,’ said Aries, ‘you didn’t use your weapon, you didn’t use your energy, you didn’t use Nether Flux and you barely released half of your aura. It was the perfect chance to kill him.’
