The first few hours of traveling were quite exciting. The speed was as Maltorio had said. Lance had imagined the zeppelin to move somewhat like a hot air balloon but that was not the case. It was not as fast as the airplanes of earth but four hundred kilometers per hour was still impressive. The cool air whipped their faces and they felt their skins go numb after a while so they sat down.

The ship was quite spacious and they were all engaged in different activities. Lance and Rain were sparring, Seth and Selena were reading the journal and Misha was working on her Blood powers. The inside of the deck was divided into four parts. One was for Rain, Seth, Lance and Axel to sleep in, the other was for Selena and Misha, third one was for storage and the fourth was all mechanical and gear room. No one other than Selena and Axel was allowed to enter that room. Axel had become good friends with Selena. She had told him some of the engineering stuff of earth that he found immensely interesting. He was a fun guy; much like a tour guide. He had a lot of knowledge about Mictlan and was happy to share.

Lance’s problem was still there. The conversation he had with Phantom continued. They kept arguing about good and evil. Lance had won most of the arguments, although he was getting weary of them. Phantom was iron intended on proving the dark side of the world and wanted to justify his own existence. Lance kept passing out again and again. Rain had his eye on him and was always there to catch him before he hit the ground. Even Selena and Misha were starting to get suspicious about this. Every time this happened, Rain shot a look at Seth that made Seth go all silent and troubled. Lance had no idea what was going to become of him. Rain was the only one he had shared with and didn’t want Selena and Misha to worry.

‘Ok everyone,’ said Axel, ‘we are descending.

‘YAY!’ shouted Lance, ‘AT LAST!’

‘What you will see below are the Whispering Tomb Lands. While the Forbidden Tomb Lands, which we left, are famous for their natural beauty and landscapes, Whispering Tomb Lands are known for the architectural beauty,’ said Axel.

‘Oooooohhhhhhh!’ Lance and Seth were leaning over the railings. Almost all the islands of the Whispering Tomb Lands were connected with bridges and it was true; the structures below (even from so far above) seemed architecturally eccentric. There was very little greenery. Lance was confused; if the technology of Mictlan was so mediocre, then how come they were able to construct such complex buildings. The road network was advanced looking. Since it was day time, the visibility was perfect but Lance wondered how the place would look from above at night, lit by thousands of lights.

‘There it is,’ said Axel, ‘that one.’

They had just entered the vicinity of the Whispering Tomb Lands and the island on which the library was situated was almost at the end. The building was amazing. It was shaped like a hand and had five entrances (one on the tip of each finger). It was of pure white color with hardly any design on the surface of it. The simplicity of it was elegant. It was huge, way too huge. It was on the largest island and had bridges connected to it from all sides. There was a small island shaped like a tear, a little away from the rest of the islands. Axel told them that that is where they will land. It was uninhabited island and they wouldn’t be bothered.

The landing was not so smooth though. They got lower and lower but this island had wild trees and hardly any clearing. Most of the trees crumbled under the weight of the zeppelin but some remained stubborn. Rain, Seth and Lance jumped down.

Seth slashed his scythe. SLASH! Three trees fell. Rain unsheathed and sheathed his single katana. Five trees fell. Lance pulled back his Raijin’s Edge and… He fell on his side and fainted. Rain caught him. His Raijin’s Edge vanished. Seth shook his head and cleared three more trees.
