If there is something that the world tour gave her, it was the balance of peace and a busy mind. The work she has done for the past few months, the concerts, the rehearsals, the recordings, everything was naturally tiring. Nevertheless, it kept her sane, away from some thoughts that stabbed through her heart for multiple times in the early months of the year. She loved how she gave her broken heart's everything on their latest EP, solidifying herself as a songwriter in the eyes of their producers and their executive, yet still earning her curious looks from Teddy who was already finding it suspicious how someone could write a lot of heartbreaking lyrics.

"Jen, 'kill this love'? Hope not? KICK IT? Dude who hurt you? Who we kicking?"

If there was one thing that's faulty in this stage of her life, she thinks it would have probably been talking to Jungkook and Jimin in that group chat the boys voluntarily made. It already felt weird to have some of his best friends still trying to associate themselves to her, but it was their little secret, even to her ex. At least on what she knew. And at first, she was just being polite since Jungkook seemed like a nice person, until soon enough she knew he really was. Jimin was typically the quiet one in the group chat, unless he becomes a willing victim to her teasing spree. It was really just three people keeping up with each other. The boys didn't even mention Taehyung once, except for tonight. When it came as a surprise that he was actually in that little private group chat. She couldn't even process at the moment if she should feel betrayed, or let it pass as a mere coincidence, but she was upset that what could have been her own private space was invaded by someone she was trying to be distant to. For fuck's sake, it was her ex who betrayed her!

And now, this woman is trying to be relevant to her again. What for? Jennie didn't want to do anything with anyone associated with Taehyung anymore. Tonight's definitely the start of it.

She stared back at Choi Hye-sun, who remained, tried, to be poised while smirking at her. The conversation she read before getting out the van just a few moments ago made it easy for her to have her poker face game strong. Or, what would haters call as her resting bitch face. She knew they were just trying to find a way to call her a bitch. Now, she felt like she really wanted to be one.

Then beside them, the elevator dinged, its doors opening and awaiting for them. She broke her eye contact with the girl, and looked at her from toe to head, and innocently asked, "누구세요? (Who are you?"

As if you even deserve to be acknowledged.

Her manager gently pushed her to enter the elevator, her words were enough confirmation that she was not Jennie's acquaintance. As she rode, cornered by her manager and a bodyguard for her protection, she tried her best to be strong and show her she had no effect whatsoever on her. But in reality, her legs were already trembling. The body may speak of her mind's true sentiment, but at least she can control most of her body parts, still. Like her concentration back to her phone, hopefully to message Kim Hanbin about what just happened before she came to this point. One hand was on her manager on her left, asking for physical support.

But another thing she couldn't control, too, was the girl who even rode the elevator with her. Jennie heard a chuckle, then the door closing.

"You were so kind the last time I saw you, Miss Kim."

And you were a bitch. If I have known, I would've pulled all your hair there—she sighs, trying to calm her internal rage. She didn't respond. Her manager asked in whisper if she knew who the girl was. She didn't even had the chance to answer in words, as the girl's hearing was amplified, probably. Instead, she discreetly double taps his shoulder.
