Coming from the meeting room's main door, he got back from his short bathroom break during his one-on-one meeting with her. On the other room, the waiting Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé patiently stayed, anticipating their turn.
She locked her phone's screen and slid it on the front pocket of her ripped jeans, before sitting up straight, hands clasped together on her lap. She smiled at the man who found his way back to the middle chair.
"I just missed my mother, sir.
She told me about her escapade in Macau today."
He shifted his head to the side, and saw a stringed set of papers and cardboard tumbled down on his table. When he picked it up, his eyes squinted upon seeing the notebook-like device was a calendar. I have this? he mumbled, but she heard. Her manager on her side wanted to roll his eyes; but out of respect, he just cursed him on his mind for mistreating his artists.
"No dating until the 5th anniversary, okay?"
"I know that, Sir."
"So,"
His focus came back on her, smile plastered on his face.
"As I said earlier, each member of your group will have a solo to showcase each of your skills and talents. You'll be the first one to have and we'll have your solo debut on November."
Wow, first time to schedule something this early, huh? The solo project is three months away.
"Now, I want you,"
He opened the white long folder in front of him, shifting each page there is to find what he needs to give to the girl.
"to work with Seungyoon and Mino for the arrangement and lyrics for your possible song. They made the song themselves but I thought it'll be better for your vocal range."
She was sure the piece was written by her best friends Hanbin and Jiwon. Since the two made the song before the interaction ban was lifted, they made Yoon and Minho do the demo and take the credit since a WinPink interaction was allowed. The boys accepted the agreement.
Though close with the WINNER members, it's Jennie's first time to work with the two and she feels nothing but ecstatic about learning and developing the song, and recording it. Finally, even with the minimal way, her dream is turning to reality.
She can't wait to learn more about songwriting and composing, too; she swears she'll pass as much songs as she can when she makes them, and Blackpink would not rely highly on composer Teddy and be stagnant ever again.
And give the chance, she might seek help from WINNER, iKON... and maybe, Taehyung, too.
