Jennie faces her own reflection, as stylists fix her and Rosé's appearance. The room was with noise from the television from the live broadcast and their managers' joking banters, and somehow the voice of that girl Hyeyoung rings in her ears. I'm happy to see you here again, honey bear! I've been waiting for this moment! She will remained bothered by the fact, but she has to try her best to conceal it, especially they have not performed as a group yet. She has to focus... But just who is that girl?
And is this what they said about one of the hardest parts of dating? Acting like nothing is bothering you because you are a public figure and people can catch you immediately? As someone who was raised by her mother to be in touch of her feelings and emotions, how can she hide her worries? Maybe it a fact that she can unleash her angst through performance. But she remains bothered by that girl. To top that, this is the first time she ever felt jealous over a girl whom she actually saw. And they have a history! How can she compete with that?
"Unnie." Rosie nudges her, and she realizes she has been staring at the mirror in front of her. It was only then she sees her face that could not hide her sadness. "Your eyes, they never lie."
"Help me keep in check, wifey. I might forget my professional face out there."
"We're going out in a few minutes." Rosie pokes Jennie's cheek twice, her signal to make that cheek raise by smiling. Jennie obliges with a fake smile, but her wifey did not stop poking her cheek that she ends up giggling and giving her a genuine smile. "That's the smile!"
Jennie stays behind Rosie, who was leading the way while holding Jennie's hand from Rosie's back. The latter pulls her softly, and Jennie just half-heartedly follows as she distracts herself. It was only after a turn in the wrong direction Jennie realizes they were going in the wrong direction. She was about to ask Rosie why they were going towards the parking lot, but Rosie lets go of her hand, while an arm grabs her from a door towards an empty dressing room.
Her heart pounding immensely proved the person was who she thought it was. Her instant reaction, before looking at him in the eyes, was to pinch his side. He covers his mouth to not let his noise come off of his mouth.
"What were you thinking?! This isn't allowed!"
"I was thinking of you!" Kim Taehyung rubbed his pained side to try to calm the tingles. "I felt how mad you were even by the vibes you give when you passed me. And... your manager signaling I'm dead."
Jennie pouts. She admits it was a relief to see her boyfriend in front of her, making a way to try to maybe explain what she saw. And how cute he is, flustered on how fine her pinch is, heehee. But she cannot completely embrace that joy because this is the craziest situation they are already in. They're both in a dressing room on the way to a parking lot. People may not be passing through this way during the show, but if anyone sees them, this is going to be a major scandal. Jennie's still bothered with that girl, too. She would try to cover up through her mind that she shouldn't be jealous with that woman... But she is feeling it. Ugh... I really don't like this part of falling in love. Jennie thinks of just pulling Taehyung towards her, thinking maybe a hug can regulate this various feelings and thoughts in her mind. How can words even mend them? And when will he start explaining? She looks down, and sees his thumbs rubbing against each other, then her hands squeezing themselves on their own, as if squeezing a stress ball. Alright, he's as anxious as me.
"Abu, can you look at me?" Taehyung whispers. Jennie, thinking of the time they may be wasting, just obliged and looked up at him. She was startled upon seeing him already looking at her, face inches close to each other. Taehyung pouts, and Jennie flinches. "Kiss?"
