The longer she stared, the harder it gets for him to keep his sanity and speech intact. It has been two months since they last talked and saw each other. He was beyond grateful to the heavens and its ways that he finally got here in front of their dorm. He just missed her so much.
But when her face transitioned from shock to a frown, he frowned back. The hurt of Jennie suddenly wanting to end what they had was enough to make him rush from Han River, where he, Jungkook and Jimin were hanging out for a while, to her dorm. Thank God for Jungkook for making him calm down, and for Jimin for taking him back on track especially with the bringing of gifts and buying the flower. I'm not fucking this up again. Jungkook drove them to the apartment complex of the girls, while Jimin encouraged him on the back seat. "Don't lose the girl you like, Kim Taehyung."
"W-what are you doing here?"
He stood straight, eyes never leaving hers. Oh, how he missed those orbs. "I told you, I'm going to explain everything to you." He smiles. "I won't lose you just for a misunderstanding, Jen."
"Unnie who's th--" He sees Lisa approaching them, but stops once she sees him.
"How did you know I'm here?"
"Jungkook s--" He saw Lisa shake her head, then a finger between her lips. When Jungkook asked her where the girls were, Lisa was the one who happily responded that they were home. He smiled at her. She winked. "Jungkook said I should give it a try. You see, I really get stupid at times when I only can think of you."
He saw how Lisa fake vomited and left the scene. Jennie was staring back at him, now with cross arms. She closed her eyes and breathe deeply, evidently frustrated. "Stop with the pickup lines, it's not appropriate."
"That wasn't a pickup line, that's the truth!" He stepped forward, his free hand reaching for her arm. "I know you have every right to doubt me right now, but please let me retrieve your trust on me. Allow me to fix this." She opens her eyes, and it meets his. He smiles again. "Please?"
The moment she stared back at him, he felt the electricity from her eyes to his every nerve. He was not sure if that sensation was an electric bolt of anger from her, or an excitement from his senses to finally see her again, or a combination of both.
"Stop looking at me like that. You look like Puss in the Boots and you're ruining it for me." She shrugs her arm, making his grip fall. "Come in." She turned her back from him to walk away, but a new figure stood near them, arms crossed.
"So, here's the Kim who hurt my girl." Joohyun glared at him. He immediately found the girl intimidating, although this is the first time they talked to each other.
It was not long enough when he saw Chaeyoung and Jisoo behind her, copying her look. Chaeyoung looked really angry, her nose flaring. Jisoo stared at him intimidatingly, but the narrowing of eyes looked cute instead.
Not letting the shock get into him, he immediately bowed to the three one by one and introduced himself. "Hello, Irene-ssi. I'm Kim Taehyung."
"Oh, I know. Jennie mentioned that you were the reason for her tears."
Jennie pinched her side. "He didn't have to know about that." She whispered to her, but he heard. He gave a sad smile. She looked back at him. "Come in."
He grabs the set of paper bags on the side of the door before entering. He walks with head down when she passed by the three girls, who just stood there eyeing his every move.
