"w--wait, this friday?"

jungkook was trying his best not to scream from the pain of taehyung's grip, and the verbal bomb the latter just dropped on the girl on the other line. nevertheless, he was proud of him for finally straightening up. he lets out his weird side everytime even while talking to girls, but this time, he was quite serious AND loyal to miss jennie kim. he wanted to pat him on his shoulder and hug him at the moment, but his ears wanted him to focus on the loud speaker right now.

"friday is like... five days away."

"i thought you were free by then."
taehyung suddenly has turned his voice into an aegyo tone, while pouting. he saw how jungkook tightened his free hand into a fist, and when he looked up, he looked like he was ready to punch him anytime. taehyung mouthed a 'sorry' before returning to his dazed face.

silence was filled on the other line. when he was getting scared of a possible rejection, he slowly let go of jungkook's hand, which served as his stress ball, and mouthed 'thank you' to him. he gestured for him to get away from the couch now and leave him alone. jungkook replied with an aggressive shake on the head and held taehyung's hand again. he leaned closer to the phone to listen to their conversation more.

"miss uyu, you don't like it?"

"no! no no no. it's just... wow. i never realized we would be this fast to meet!"

"well, we have met before through music shows and award shows. i think it's time to finally meet as friends. don't you think?"

"are... are you actually excited to see me?"

"always."
jungkook's eyes widened. taehyung was straightforward to answer.
"i mean... ever since we talked through chat i always wondered how would you be in person."

"you may not like me."

"i like you now."

jungkook's hand wanted to slam the wall to express his surprise with what taehyung said, but he was quick to hold back. jennie might hear it.

"...what?"

"i--"
taehyung only realized now what he said.
"i mean, i like you as a person while we're talking v-virtually, you know. y-you don't have to worry about the personal meet. it's like, we're still talking but up front, you know? w-w-why am i stuttering?"

jennie giggled on the other line.
"it's fine, taehyung. calm down."

jungkook wanted to leave the scene and scream his feels out.

"i mean, i'm really excited to meet you anyways, whatever, whenever or wherever it can be. i'm always happy when i talk to you."

"me too."

jungkook is close to having a heart attack.
