BROOKLYN'S P.O.V.

The movie continued playing in the background even though no one paid attention to it anymore. The room was dark besides the slight illumination from the television screen. Everything was quiet besides the hushed dialogue coming from the TV. Popcorn spilled onto the floor but no one cared. It seemed as if it was just the two of us.

My hands were tangled in his hair as I pulled him closer. His arms were wrapped securely around my waist, attempting to bring my body closer to his. Once in a while, we'd both pull away to catch our breaths before reconnecting our lips.

"Hey Cal, I'm heading out with a few friends so-"

The lights were turned on and we quickly pulled apart.

"Wow, I was not expecting that," Calum's sister chuckled, her eyes flickering between the both of us.

I blushed, fixing myself as Calum fixed his hair.

"What do you want?!" Calum groaned in annoyance.

"Aye, don't give me that attitude. I was just checking on my baby brother," she smirked.

"Maliiiii..." he groaned once more, "I'm serious."

"Who's your little friend?" she asked, pointing at me.

"Oh uh hi, I'm Brooklyn," I introduced as I shook her hand.

"Mali," she smiled in return, "Nice to meet you."

"Are you two done?" Calum chimed in.

Mali rolled her eyes, "Excuse my little brother, he can be a bit rude sometimes."

"Okay Mali, we get it, now please leave," Calum said, ushering her towards the door.

He opened the front door only to find his parents.

"Oh hey kiddos! Where are you guys heading?" his dad exclaimed with a smile.

"Oh for fuck's sake," Calum muttered under his breath.

"Calum Thomas Hood! Watch your language!" his mom scolded, entering the house, "Oh dear, why is there popcorn scattered in the living room?"

"Hi Mrs. Hood!" I greeted as her eyes fell upon me.

"Brooklyn! Hello, dear! I didn't know you were coming over," she smiled, hugging me, "Honey! This is Brooklyn, Calum's Spanish partner! The one I was telling you about!"

"Nice to meet you, sir," I smiled, shaking his hand.

"I'll clean the mess up later, don't worry mom," he assured.

"Mom, dad, I'm heading out with my friends," Mali notified.

"Alright, don't come home too late," her mom said before Mali left.

"Hmm, I think I should be leaving too.. it's getting late," I said, retrieving my things.

"Aw, leaving already? I'm just about to go start on dinner...at least stay for dinner," his mom persuaded.

"Yeah, stay longer," Calum agreed.

"I'd love to, but my mom would be worried," I replied, "Sorry, maybe next time?"

"I guess, since it's pretty dark out, let Calum drive you home," she smiled.

"What? I don't even have a car," Calum said in confusion.

Suddenly, his dad threw him keys to which Calum caught just in time, "Now you do."

"Whoa, are you serious?" Calum gasped in disbelief.
