IN DEATH, Jessica Nobel learned about the selfless love stories would talk about. She learned what it meant to care for others more than yourself when she shook the devil's hand, sold her soul for the band and, most importantly, for her best friend.
Watching from the sidelines has always been her life; her death is no different. She can hear stories of the band's greatness and can eagerly await the days when the devil would return, frustrated by his lack of progress toward revenge. It hurts, but it may be her new life.
That is unless her friends can find a way to save her. She does not know that Justin Perez works tirelessly to rescue her. She does not know the despair the band feels after every show or performance without her presence.
But she does know her plan. And maybe, just maybe, she'll see them all again soon and discover new dangers without Caleb leaning over them.
