The cigarette in my mouth smells of ash and nicotine as I inhale it through my lungs and watch with eagle eyes for the person I'm looking for—Kaio in the driver's seat incase we need to leave immediately."Who is he?" Kaio asks, his eyes searching for anyone who leaves the huge building in front of us.
I would have brought my brother if we were on speaking terms but we weren't so Kaio was my best option, he was alot smarter and had way more connections than my brother despite how fucking annoying he was. "His name is Judas." I tell him, being mindful to Eris's privacy.
Eris had told me that he was supposedly gone, that he went back to his hometown or whatever but something in my gut told me to double check and even if he had left, I still would have hunted him down. It had took me a while to find him especially since Eris didn't like speaking about him but I did it.
"Why are you going after him?" Kaio murmurs but when I don't answer he sighs. "Is it worth it? You're going to take his life tonight and I need to trust that it's worth it because if it's not then we need to go." He tells me seriously, "You need to make sure this isn't something that you're going to regret."
My mind flashes back to the day I picked Eris up from her house, my heart aching as I remember the way she clutched her stomach from how rough he was with her. It flashes back to the night when she cried her heart out because she couldn't sleep in fear of him coming after her. My throat tightens when I remember the way she asked me to check to make sure the door was locked, not once but at least three more times during the night. I wouldn't regret this. Ever. This broke my sweet girl and I would break him right back.
"He has to go." I respond quietly. When he opens his mouth to speak, I cut him off, "He hurt me," I lie, not wanting to out Eris. "That's all you need to know."
His eyes flash with a heavy amount of concern and I almost feel bad but he doesn't push for more, "Okay." He breathes, "Okay, how is this going to go down? What do you want me to do?"
"You see the train station?" I ask, pointing over at the empty station on 42nd Street. He nods, "I need you to get him over there. Go in there and talk to him about whatever the fuck." I explain, "I don't care what you do but he needs to be there before it hits 11:30, you understand?" I look him dead in the eyes, "That's all I need, I'll do everything else."
Kaio licks his lips, his eyes frantic as he takes in my words, "You're going to throw him in front of train?" He whispers, "Dude, I thought Lucio was crazy but you? You're fucking nuts." He laughs under his breath and a part of me thinks its him whose crazy.
"Can you do it or not?" I hiss.
He nods his head, "That's all you need? You just need me to get him out here before the next train comes?" He asks just to make sure.
I nod my head, "That's it." I confirm, "Go now, " I order, "I want to call my girlfriend, real quick."
He rolls his eyes but there's a small smile on his face, "Tell her I said hi." And then he's gone.
