Ever since your conversation with Rindou, he's been acting very clingy towards you. Like very very clingy. If you were sitting on the couch, your bed or literally anywhere, he would always join you, laying his head on your shoulder or stomach.

If you were standing, he would always hug you from behind. You weren't complaining, you did like the attention. It made you feel all tingly and warm. It was sweet.

But you don't know what was up with him and why he kept hugging you all the time. So you asked him about it, and he just shrugged it off, not even giving you a proper response. You honestly decided to give up trying to find out and just let it happen.

Free hugs? Why would u want to complain.

Currently right now, you were watching a movie on his laptop he lent you, on your bed. He was seated next to you, with his head on your shoulder, eyes sometimes drifting towards his phone screen.

"She's so useless," you glared at the useless protagonist on screen. "She's just screaming her heart out as if the mother fucking killer isn't downstairs." You sighed, "I could never be in one of these films."

"You'd be the first to die thats why." He said while shifting on your shoulder. You looked down at him offended, "Excuse me?! I wouldn't even get myself into this situation. It's called having intuition thank you very much."

He ignored you and kept scrolling on his phone. Once in a while he would glance up and look at you. You were too engrossed in the movie to realise he was staring. Pretty.

His phone started buzzing, a text message notification from Kokonoi telling him to get his ass downstairs. He already knew what this was about. They currently had a gang fight now. He sighed, sitting up causing the laptop to shift.

Finally breaking your gaze from the screen, you saw Rindou getting up. "Where are you going?"

"I have um— Bonten stuff. Just keep watching, I'll be back later tonight." He grabbed his stuff and walked out the room before you could even say anything.

Weird.

The time without Rindou went by very quickly. Before you knew it, you heard the door open. You rushed outside your room to the main door to greet him, but you were met with something else instead.

"Rin? Are you okay?" You rushed towards him, trying to keep his balance as he looked as if he was limping. He had bruises and scratches on his face which looked painful.

You'd never seen these types of injuries before and started to panic. "Rindou??"

"Yeah, I'm fine." He sent you a soft smile as he stood up. He clearly wasn't fine, he was struggling to stand up straight, but managed nonetheless.

He moved to sit down on the couch, face planting onto it as he internally groaned at his injuries. His whole body felt stiff. You moved to sit next to him, holding his arm, "Who did this to you?"

"Don't worry, this happens all the time. It's normal to have these sorts of injuries when you're in this life."

You shook your head. None of this screamed normal. "Who did this?"

"Y/n, stop worrying I'm fine. See?" He lifted his arms, waving them around to prove nothing was broken and he was fine.

Your eyes shifted to the cuts on his face. "What about that?"

He brought his fingers to his face, grazing over the cuts. "It's fine, it'll go away tomorrow." Why was he being so extra?

Your lip was quivering as your mind just flooded with thoughts of the idea of losing Rindou. "Y/n I said I'm okay, seriously. Stop worrying. I'm used to this typa stuff." He wrapped his arm around your shoulder, bringing you closer to him. Your cheeks were touching. "Are u listening?"
