Road trip

"Alright so I have everything packed.. I think"

"You pack your phone charger?" Eva asks through our phone call. We've been on call for 2 hours now while we both pack. The two of us, along with our other friends are going on a trip up north to Jaxon's family cottage.

"Shit! Ok now I have everything." I say while I throw my charger in my suitcase.

"Alright! See you in like an hour."

We say our goodbyes and hang up. I drag my suitcase downstairs to see my brothers and their girlfriends on the couch. They look up when they hear me. "You all packed squirt?"

I nod and leave my suitcase at the door before making my way over to the couch. "Yep! Suitcase packed, my car is full of gas, and I downloaded a good playlist for the ride." I say wiggling my eyebrows a little.

They all laugh. "By good playlist you mean the trashy music you blare throughout the house?" Jay asks.

"Hey! That trashy music just so happens to be my favourite, and it's not trashy! Your 1970s music is trashy Jay!" I say.

He fakes offence before tickling me.

"No! Jay stop!" I say in between laughs. "Stooop!" I'm squirming around on the couch while giggling. The rest are laughing at the 2 of us. "Jay please!"

He finally stops and pulls me in for a hug. "Be safe! Don't do stupid shit, if you drink don't go overboard! I'll let you drink for this 1 trip but if you get wasted I'm never letting you drink again!"

I nod in understanding. "I know! Thanks Jay!"

He ruffles up my hair. Will comes over and hugs me. "Don't do anything I wouldn't do Kate!"

I smirk. "Dang it so that's drugs and murder out the window"

Will glares at me while I raise my hands in surrender.

Natalie comes over and gives me a hug. "Have fun sweetie! Be safe alright!"

"I will Nat."

Hailey comes over lastly. "Have fun kiddo! Take lots of pictures alright! I want to see and hear all about your trip! When you get back we're having a girls day." She says with a wink.

"Ahh yes! The three of us no Will or Jay! Sounds like Heaven!"

"Hey!" Will and Jay pout.

We all laugh. "I should probably go. I'm supposed to pick Haylee up at 12" I say looking at the clock to see 11:53. All my friends live close by so it works. I have to pick up Haylee, and Jaxon. Josh and Eva are neighbours so they were gonna meet us at Starbucks then we'll figure out who we're driving with.

"Alright! Love you sis! Have fun and be safe!" Will says as he puts my suitcase in my trunk.

"I will! Love you guys too!" I get in my car and start driving away. I pull into Haylee's driveway and beep the horn. She comes running out throwing her suitcase in my trunk.

"Hey!!" She squeals. "Ahhh I'm so excited!"

We both let out scream before laughing. "Me too!"

I get to Jaxons place and see him waiting outside already. He hops in the back of my car and sets his backpack beside him.

"Hey!" We all say.

I drive to Starbucks to see Josh and Eva there already. They come over to my car and I open my window. "Hey! So whose driving with who?"

"Haylee, Eva and I are driving together." Josh says while winking at Jaxon.

"Alright." I shrug. Haylee hops out of my car running over to Josh's while Jaxon gets in the front seat. Josh pulls out and I start following him.

"Here." I hand him my phone. "I downloaded a playlist just play any song."

He takes my phone and goes through my playlist before picking out a few and creating a que.

We both are singing our hearts out while laughing together. We're both singing when Jaxon suddenly stops. I look over and see him videoing with a smile on his face. "Jaxon! What the heck!?" I say while laughing.

"What? You were into it!" He says while laughing.

We finally arrive at the cottage. The cottage sits right on the beach so we plan on spending all our time at the beach. Jaxons family also has a boat that stays at the cottage that they're letting us use. We pick our rooms before putting on our bathing suits and running out to the beach.

We go swimming and tan before starting a campfire and sit around talking. I'm sitting beside Jaxon while laughing at the video he took of me earlier.

"That was so mean Jax" I say while pouting.

"Awww poor you it was funny." He says with a smile while wrapping his arm around my shoulders.

I smile and lean into his side a little.

He lightly kisses my forehead. I don't know what Jaxon and I are. We always flirt and cuddle with each other but we've never made it official or said anything. I yawn and snuggle further into Jaxons side. He smile and holds me tighter. I end up falling asleep with my head on Jaxons shoulder.

I wake up in a bed and look around confused. I swear I fell asleep on the beach. "I carried you in after you fell asleep last night." Jaxon says as he walks out of the bathroom.

"Oh. Thanks!" I say with a slight smile.

He smiles back. "No problem."

The rest of our week is filled with laughs, adventures, late night walks, drinking, and many many pictures are taken.
