I'm just walking out of the mall when my phone goes off.

"Hello?"

"Hey sis! Uhh i know I said today was going to be an early day but we caught a big case so I called Kelly over at 51 and he said you could go hangout there with them until I'm done? You okay with that?" Jay said.

"Yeah that's fine! Be safe and see you tonight!"

"Ya! Love you sis!"

"Love you too!"

I hang up the phone before reaching in my bag and grabbing my keys. I don't really understand why Jay and Will don't let me go home by myself but oh well.
I miss the crew from 51, I don't know when the last time I saw them was. I get in my car before starting it and playing my Spotify playlist.

I arrive at the firehouse and stop my singing session. I hop out of the car and make my way inside. I see squad sitting at there regular table. Kelly has his back to me so I decide to sneak up on him. I see Cruz looking at me with a smirk on his face as he sees me quietly walking up behind Kelly. He nudged Tony who looks over and let's out a quiet laugh.

"What are you laughing at?" Kelly asks him.

"What me? Oh uh nothing." Tony stutters.

I let out a small chuckle before coming up behind Kelly and putting my hands over his eyes. "Hi!"

He jumps a little bit not expecting that before turning around and seeing me. "Katie! Geez!" He says before getting up and hugging me. "How are you? You haven't come around here in a while!"

"Yeah I'm good! I know! I'm sorry! I've been really busy with homework and drivers Ed but I finally have my license so that's done!" I say happily. "Today was the first day in a while I didn't have anything and Jays working late sooo here I am!" I say with a smile.

He laughs a little at my response before I'm pulled into a big hug from Cruz, Capp, and Tony. "Whoa guys! I missed you too but I need to breathe" I say laughing. They laugh and pull away before messing up my hair a little. I glare at the 3 of them as they put their hands up in the air in surrender.

"Geez Katie! You got your brothers glare. Why are the Halstead so frickin scary?" Capp asks.

I giggle a little bit before sitting down at the squad table. "Is everyone else out on a call?"

"Yep your stuck with us munchkin." Kelly says with a smirk.

I fake pout at him. "We'll that sucks."

"Hey!! Not nice young lady! You want a time out?" Kelly asks with a grin on his face.

"I- seriously? Time out?" I say raising my eyebrows. He shrugs his shoulders. "Can we play cards?"

They all nod and the 5 of us sit around the table playing cards for half an hour before we hear the trucks come back. Engine 81, and ambo 62 pulls in before everyone starts clambering out.

"Katie!! Wow you finally showed up again!" Matt says with a grin.

I laugh a little before getting up and going to hug him. "I know I know I'm sorry. I've been really busy lately."
