Nijino Yume, holding the flowers her parents sent, posed for a picture with her fellow schoolmate, now her colleague, Kasumi Mahiru.

"Congratulations for getting into S4!" She grinned. "Do you need to have your picture taken, Ako-chan?" She offered the redhead, whom quickly nodded and the two went off towards the pavilion.

Yume felt something was empty in her heart. She didn't know what, though. She had all she wanted now. Loving parents, kind friends and supporters, a stable career and such an amount of money earned at such a young age. And now, a spot in one of the most famous Japanese girl groups after the AKB48 franchise. Her dream had come true, after all these years of hard work and sacrifice. She had the chance to make a unit debut.

Mahiru pointed at their friend, Ako, who was posing in her new uniform at the pavilion, striking a cute cat-jump with one of Subaru's limited edition dolls she'd received as a present from her fans.

"I'd be more pleased if she'd cut off her weird habit with Yūki-san." She said. Yume let out a giggle in reply, but didn't say anything.

Yume looked at Ako, jumping around for joy at the cute little doll she received. A sudden surge of pain could be found inside her heart of hearts. What? And... Why?

"Flowers for Saotome-chan!"

Yume looked at the girl, who was jumping around as usual. Red roses making a heart shape in a bouquet of pink flowers made its daily appearance — Ako would receive the bouquet from a mysterious secret admirer every morning, and rumours said that the boy also studied in Four Star. There were so many male students whom admired Ako, so it was hard to guess who sent it.

"Is it from my Subaru-kyun, nyan?" Ako slumped back onto the living room sofa, her head on her palm, counting the flowers.

"Well of course it's not—" Mahiru screamed, but Laura stopped her.

The pink-haired let out a sigh. "Let her figure it out herself. She's the top of her class, after all."

Subaru stood on his balcony once more. He would be moving to a new dormitory now. After three, hard but happy years, he had graduated from middle school.

When he was still a little boy, he longed to be in high school. His house was right opposite one, and he used to stand on top of his balcony, watching as teenagers returned home after a long day at school, gossiping about different topics and just having fun. Sometimes, they did not have to wear uniforms and wore colourful cheerleading costumes. Therefore, he thought high school was a place where he could be happy and free.

Now?

He didn't want to be in high school.

Their schedule would be a lot different. The courses were going to be so hard. He was lucky enough, though, to meet such friends of his who gave him guidance and help whenever he wanted to.

Subaru walked back into his dorm room. There were photos on the wall. Most of them were of his family members, and there was one special picture which grabbed his attention.

It was a group photo of the M4 members. The photo of the four young men watching the stars at night, taken last year in the Sapporo countryside, marked the end of their first ever Asia Tour. During the tour, they went to a lot of different places, and besides working, they went sightseeing, too.

Asahi was very tiny back then — the latter was only about 159 centimeters tall due to his young age. He then realised that Asahi, being a year younger than him and the other two middle school graduates, could not stay in the same dorm. Asahi was the brightest and the funniest boy he'd ever met. Without him, he reckoned the dorm wouldn't spray off such cheerful vibes as before. Asahi was who brought the four together. He shook his head. He didn't want to accept the harsh reality of graduating.
