To want

After a few months:-

Kanchan had a birthed a beautiful daughter. Shaurya had not waited for anyone to say anything. He just entered. He started showering his love on the baby. He then placed it close to Kanchan and gave her a hug.

Shaurya- How are you feeling? Theekh lag rha hai ab thoda. Tum rest karo.  Dont worry I will take care of both the babies. Yash and the actual baby. Yash was standing at the door. He wasn't expressive like Shaurya but seeing Kanchan doing good and the baby he felt emotional. He was quietly watching the scene unfold from the door.

Shaurya-Hey! Yash kya kar rha hai isko Godh mein nhi uthayega. Teri pari ko.

Yash-Bhaiya darr lagta hai.

Shaurya-Arre aa yahan par. Le isko. Dekh kitni choti aur pyaari hai.

The way Shaurya was handling the baby was beautiful. Anokhi was watching from outside. She had rushed as soon as she came to Kanchan was in labor. She cried happy tears to see this beautiful fatherly side of Shaurya. Shaurya was so good with the baby. The baby loved him too. It was so adorable.

Shaurya-Arre Anokhi tum hi aa jao. Ye lo.

Anokhi holds the baby in her arms. It was beautiful, had these really innocent eyes and soft skin. It had these tiny fingers and feet. It was so cute. Anokhi played with it. That day what having a baby had meant to her all along changed. Until that day she felt having a baby would mean domestication and losing yourself. But that day she learnt Shaurya would be a very hands on parent. He was a born father. She also realized that the baby itself could bring so much joy into her life. This is something she would be open to once she had completed her education.

Anokhi- Shaurya you are going to be a great dad some day. You know!

Shaurya- I know. I just can't wait for that part of my life to unfold.

Anokhi- Me too!

Shaurya- Hmmm. By the way have you filled up all the forms for PhD.

Anokhi- Shaurya abroad jana zaroori hai. Long distance is difficult .

Shaurya- Shut up! If you don't fill, mein fill karunga. I know your caliber.

Anokhi- But!

Shaurya- Shut up! Statement of purpose kal tak chahiye ok. Yeh baby ke excuse mat banana. Go, get that ready. Bohot khel lia baby ke sath.

Anokhi- OK. Mr. Akadu.

She goes back to filling forms, to be honest half heartedly. Shaurya snatched the laptop from her and saw at forms that weren't filled well.

Shaurya- I am not going to let you limit yourself to love Anokhi. Because even if I love you so much it is not going to be enough. It cant fill the space that's going to stay empty if you don't reach for the opportunities you deserve. I am not going to let you resent this day. So fill it better! I know something shifted in you at the hospital. I know you want a home with me now. I know it. But Anokhi I waited 3 years not so that you can stop dreaming. Abhi you are enjoying this love phase but at 40 I dont want you to regret it. If you regret not starting out a family early, I promise I am going to love you so much that it will get made up. I can fill that regret with love. But I can't fill the regret of a bad education.

Anokhi- Can we atleast get married? I know hum sath nhi reh payengi. But still shadi kar sakte hai.

Shaurya- Can you atleast propose me better? No kidding. We will get married. Don't you worry. Mein ghar pe baat karta hoon. We will get through this. Ek hafte baad karta hoon. This is Kanchan and the baby's moment. I mean we should no take that away with our announcement.

Anokhi- Haan. Theekh hai. Mein bhi baat kar lungi.

Shaurya- Theekh hai. Chalo ab jao. Form bharne.

Anokhi- Haan.

Anokhi fills up all those forms and gets Shaurya to check all of them. He checks all her forms. He was happy this time with her answers. 

Shaurya starts the shadi topic at the table that day during snacks.

Aastha- Anokhi se baat hui?

Shaurya- Haan maa usine baat chedi. Woh chahti hai ki mein woh jaane se pehle shadi karle. Aur mera toh aapko pata hi hai naa.

Aastha- Achaa toh kab kaise?

Shaurya- April mein uska sem khatam hoga tab karenge. Shadi matlab acchese karenge. Sab hona chahiye.  Mehendi, Haldi, Sangeet, Shadi aur fir honeymoon.

Kanchan- Last word pe emphasize kya kar rhe ho? Woh shadi ka part thodi hai. Waise jana aapko kahan hai.

Shaurya- Anokhi se puchoonga. But Paris kaisa rahega. Sabse zyada romantic hai. Yaa Maldives. Yaa phir Japan. I mean it will so unique. Japan ke aas paas ke islands jaa sakte hai. Yaa phir Greece.

Kanchan- Shaurya bhaiya ek hi honeymoon pe jana hai. Aur upar se aap room se thodi nikloge. Toh farakh kya padta hai jagah kaunsi ho.

Shaurya- Kanchan! It has to be the best experience of her life. I mean grand, romantic.

Anokhi- Kanchan is right.

Shaurya- Tum yahan?

Anokhi- Arre yeh kehne aayi thi mumma se baat ho gyi. Mumma kal aayengi baat karne aap logon se.

Shaurya goes and hugs her.

Shaurya- It's happening baby. It's happening.

Anokhi- I know. Baby! It's happening. 

Kanchan- Anokhi tumhari sab pasand napasand bolna mujhe. Mujhe hi toh karni hogi wedding planning.

Anokhi- Ji. Aisa kuch particular nhi hai. Kuch bhi chalega.

Devi- Aaj tak Shaurya utawala tha. Ab tum bhi. Aisa lagta hai permission de toh abhi mandir mein jakar kar loge.

Anokhi- Badi maa. Mann toh hai. But shadi ek hi baar honi hai. Toh....

Devi- Haan. Ghabra mat. Saare functions ke sath karenge. Tu nhi chahe fir bhi hum karenge.

Tej- Bilkul Shaurya putter ki shadi hai. Koi kammi nhi ho sakti.

Shaurya- Mom I just want to spend time with Anokhi. Aaj bhi bohot special day hai humari life ka. Humne aaj announce kia shadi karenge. So I want to spend some quality time with her.

Aastha- Rokne se toh nhi rukega tu. Jaa.

Shaurya and Anokhi hold hand in hand and quickly go upstairs. They were chatting, laughing and blushing. 

Tej- Kitni badi galti karne wale the hum teen saal pehle. Agar uss din Anokhi ko jaane dia hota toh aaj yeh khush Shaurya kabhi nhi milta.

Devi-Anokhi ke sath jitna khush dekha hai kabhi nhi dekha. Hum galat the jo ek ladki dhund sake jo iss ghar mein dhal sake. Yeh ladki aisi hai jisne iss ghar ko pyaar aur khushiyon ke khoobsurat rang mein rang dia.
