Chapter 8

2 months later

Logan's P.O.V.

My birthday is in 3 days. Greaaat. Can you tell I'm being sarcastic? I was currently sitting at lunch with everyone else. Kendall and Brandon were laughing and talking. They were dating now but I hated it. I didnt even know why I hated it but I did. I stare at my left over food. Today was supposed to be the day I get my letter to find out if I get to go to a 2 month early program at the college in London that I wanted to go too. Today I'd find out if I was accepted into the school, and the program. I just wanted to go home and check the mail. "Dude only 3 classes left and we're heading to the house." Zach says with a laugh. I glare at him. "This is a big deal for me Zach. I know you don't care about school but I do." I growl. He just rolls his eyes and everyone else laughs. "I'm sure you'll get in Logan. You're really smart." I look at Kendall as she speaks. "Thanks Ken." I say and she smiles. "Oh! I have an idea!" She says as she sits up in her chair. We all laugh. "Well what is it jumpy?" Zach asks with a smirk. She glares at him but smiles and looks at me. "How about all of us come over to see you open the letter. So when you make it in we can all be there to celebrate with you." She says. Everyone starts nodding in agreement. I smile. "Thanks guys but really you dont have to do that." I say. "Oh shut up we want to." Ariel says. I laugh. "Ok ok ok fine." I say with a laugh.

When school finally ended I was practically running from the building. I told the others I wouldn't open the letter till they got there but when I got home they were somehow already there. I walk into the house and my family is sitting in the living room with all my friends. Dakota is standing there smiling at me, holding an envelope. I run over and snatch it out of his hands. I quickly open the envelope and begin reading the paper. My heart stops as I read it. Someone takes it from my hands. "Logan you made it!" Kendall says with excitement. I look up at her and all the shock finally leaves my body as I take the paper back with a smile. I read through it. I made it. Into the school and the early program.

I freeze again when I see the date I'm to leave if I do the early program. March 17th. The day after my birthday. "I have to leave on the 17th." I say slowly as I look around at my friends and family. "Is that bad? Logan you get to go! This is what you've wanted sweetheart." My mother says with a smile as she hugs me. I smile and hug her back. "I have to think it through. I hadn't expected that I'd have to up and leave in only 4 days." I tell everyone around me. My mom gives me a reassuring smile. "You'll know what to do when the time is right." My father says, standing up beside her. I smile at my parents before turning to my friends who are all smiling at me. I sigh as I sit in a chair next to Ariel. She pats my shoulder. "Your mom is right, you'll figure it out when the time comes." She says. I just smile at her. "Thanks Ar." I say and she hugs me.

I hear Dakota growl loudly before running from the room. I sigh. "It's like he hates me.." Ariel says quietly. I frown. "He doesn't hate you honey believe me." My mom says as she takes Ariel into her arms for a hug. "Why does he get mad when I'm around?" She asks. I look at my dad who is rubbing the back of his neck. "I don't know dear, he's been acting like that for a long time towards everyone.. wanna know what I think it is?" My mom asks her. My dad is smiling now. My mom was always great at coming up with stupid reasons for things. My dad's phone went off and he left the room to answer it. "What's that?" Ariel asks my mom. "I think he's mad because he hasn't found his mate yet." I smile as my mom says this. Ariel laughs and nods. "Logan. Somebody is here to see you." I hear my dad say.

I turn and am tackled. "What the hell?" I say, then I realize who it is. "Kat!" I yell and hug her. She laughs. "Miss me little brother?" She asks with a smirk as she pulls away from our hug. "Hell yeah I did. How was Australia?" I ask her. "Oh it was great! But I'm not here for that I'm here to congratulate you on getting into that college!" She says with excitement. I smile before hugging her again. "Oh yeah and your birthday." She laughs. "Hey what about me?" I pull away from my sister as Zach speaks. "Oh Zach Attack you know I came for you too." She said, hugging him as well. I look at Kendall and see confusion on her face. "Kendall this is our sister, Kat. She's human as you can tell." I tell her. She nods, glancing at my sister. Kat looks at Kendall. "And you are?" She asks. "Kendall. I'm friends with your brothers. I'm a rouge." She told her. Kat froze at the word rouge and glared at her. "Kat she's good, she lost her pack to rouges, making her family rouges." I tell her. She looks less upset now. "Well it's nice to meet you Kendall." Kat says.

"Where is Luke?" I ask my sister. She suddenly looks very happy again. "He should be here on your birthday. He is doing some extra things before coming home." She says with a large smile. "I have something to tell you." She says. She turns and looks at my friends. "It's a family only thing for now." She says, looking at them with an apologetic look in her eyes. "But I'm practically family." Ariel complains. "Sorry Ar." Kat says with a laugh. Ariel glares at her but smiles. "Fine. Lets go guys so they can talk." Ariel says before leaving the room with Kendall and Brandon.

I turn back to Kat. "So what is it?" I ask. "Where's Dakota? He has to be here when I tell you all. I only wish Luke could be here with us too." Her face dropped for a brief moment then it vanished. "Dakota!!" She yells. He comes running in the room. He sees Kat and he runs to her and hugs her. "I was wondering when you'd be home." He says with a smile. "Well here I am, I have something to tell you all. You may want to sit down." She says. We all sit and Kat sits across from us. "Well I'd like to let you all know, Luke and I are going to be coming back home for good now." She says with a smile. "That's great dear." My mother says with a smile. I know she missed Kat the most, well second most, after me. "Well the reason for that is.." She paused and her smile widened. "I'm pregnant."
