Chapter 7

Logan's P.O.V.

I walk up to Ariel's room in the pack house later that night. It was now almost 7 and I was picking up Ariel for the school dance. I had text Kendall and she said her dad was gonna make it. I was glad he was ok and I was even more happy that Kendall was going to be able to attend the dance and get her mind off the whole thing.

I knocked on Ariel's door and she opened it. She wore a sparkly red dress that went just past her knees. "You look great Ariel." I tell her and she smiles. "You don't look bad yourself." She says and I laugh. I wore black slacks and a nice red button up shirt. She had told me what color she was wearing so I decided to match her. "Shall we go?" I ask, holding my arm out to her. She looped her arm through mine with a nod. We walk down stairs to see my brothers all waiting there. Dakota looks up at us and stared at our arms. If it had been anyone else he would be pissed, but he knew I had no intention of taking his mate from him. He stared at her the entire time as we walked down. Say something to her Dakota. I told him through the mind link. I don't know what to say.. I mentally roll my eyes. Anything dude. Say she looks nice or something. I tell him. I see him freeze up as we get to the bottom of the steps. Zach is standing there with his date, Sammie. I look at Ariel who is looking at Dakota, who is staring at the ground. I let out a small sigh. "Hey Dakota whats up." I say and he looks at me. "Not a lot bro. Have fun kiddos." He winks and Ariel laughs. I smile. Then gesture for him to say something to her. "Hey Ariel, you look beautiful by the way." He says with a smile. She stops laughing and blushes. "Thank you.." She says. I smile. "Well we better get going or we'll be late to the dance." Zach says behind me. I roll my eyes but nod. "You ready to go Ariel?" I ask. She nods and we walk out to the cars. I help Ariel in the car then run over and get in the drivers seat.

We get to the school and Ariel and I walk in. The music is blaring and there are people everywhere. I spot a group of people we are friends with. "Hey over there." I say to Ariel. She nods with a large smile and we walk over and talk to our friends. After a while I was wondering where Brandon and Kendall were. "Have you guys seen Brandon and Kendall?" I ask. "Earlier they were near the door talking but I havent seen them since." Said one of my friends. I look at Ariel. "Im worried about Kendall." I tell her. "Yeah me to, after what happened to her dad. We should go find her." She says with a small smile. I nod and we start searching. I finally see her. She's with Brandon, Zach, and Sammie. We walk over. "Hey we've been looking for you guys." I say to Brandon. "We've just been talking to people. Taking things slow." He smiles at Kendall as he speaks. I was glad he was moving slow for her after what happened this morning.

We stay and talk for a while until a slow song comes on. I look at Ariel with a smile but she glares at me. I hold my hand over my heart dramatically. "You have wounded me. I thought we had something going on Ar." I say and she laughs. "I dont do slow dances you know that bud." She said with a smile. I shrug and look at Brandon expecting him to ask Kendall to dance. He looks at me then at Kendall. "I dont know how to dance or I'd ask you.." He tells her, scratching the back of his head. I sigh dramatically. "Kendall since neither of our dates will dance with us will you dance with me?" I ask her. Ariel and Brandon both laugh. "Uh.. I dont know how..." She whispers. I laugh then grab her hand and start pulling her out onto the dance floor. "I'll help you." I whisper back. I can see fear in her eyes. She doesn't want to embarrass herself. Good thing I'm a great dancer.

I lift her up and set her on my feet with a smirk. She looks down at our feet then smiles. I begin moving slowly. After a few seconds she steps off my feet and moves hers on her own. "You look great tonight by the way." I tell her with a smile. "Thank you..." she replies shyly. I just smile. "So how is Brandon?" I ask. "He's really nice to me. I like him." She tells me. I feel a small rush of anger run through me but I quickly force it away. "Thats great." I say. The song ends and I walk her back over to Brandon and Ariel who are talking about some tv show. "I'm thinking we should start heading home." I tell Ariel. "Yeah I'm starting to get tired." She agrees. I look at my watch to see its already 11:30. "I guess we'll see you guys around." I say. "Ok bye Logan, bye Ariel." Kendall says as we turn to leave. We wave back as we walk out of the building and out to my car.
