Logan's P.O.V.

She gave me the directions as we drove. I had already somewhat met her parents when they came to see my dad. My dad pointed me out to them but that's about all. Kendall doesn't know this of course. I had not yet told her I was the Alpha's son. We get to her house and she tells me her mom is home, pointing at the car which belongs to her mother. The house isn't all that bad for a rouge home. It's a two story house and pretty decent size. We walk up and she opens the door. "Mom, dad I'm home!" She yells and I hear talking from inside the house. "In the kitchen dear!" I hear her mother. She looks at me and smiles before leading to to a small kitchen where I see her parents.

"Mom, dad, this is my friend Logan." She says. I stand in the doorway beside her as they turn and face us. Their face turns to shock and the quickly bow. I sigh. "Uh, mom, dad what are you doing?" Kendall looks nervous. "It's fine Ken, I get it all the time." I tell her. "Alpha, it is an honor." Her mother says. "I'm not the Alpha..." I say lowly. "But as his son we must address you as so." Her father says. Kendall gasps. "What are they talking about Logan?" She asks. "My father is the Alpha." I tell her. "Oh I... I'm so sorry I didn't know." She said and quickly bows. I grab her arm. "Don't bow to me. I'm not an Alpha." I say as I pull her back up. "I'm your friend. I never want you to bow to me." I look at her parents. "You either." I say and they stand up straight. "Why are you here Alpha?" They both ask. I roll my eyes at them saying Alpha again. "I invited him. This is my friend I was talking about mom." Kendall says quietly.

"Oh." Her father says with a glare at me. "What are your intentions with my daughter?" He asks. Kendall slaps his arm and I smile. "No sir, I'm not her boyfriend, we're just friends." I say and he relaxes. "She's going out with Brandon." I say and she turns and glares at me. "Who's Brandon?" Her father growls. "A guy that asked me to the dance this weekend." She told him and he growled again. "Did you plan on letting us meet him?" He asks her. I smile and scratch the back of my neck as they speak. "We have a guest Robert stop it." Her mother says, slapping Robert's arm. She smiles at me. "Come on in, dinner is almost ready." She says to me and I smile and nod. "Thank you." I say and finally step into the kitchen. Kendall is still glaring at me. I smile at her and she rolls her eyes but smiles back.

"Right, so Alpha-" I cut him off. "Call me Logan please." I say and Robert smiles. "Alright Logan, how are people treating my baby girl at school?" He asks. "It was bad the first day but since she started hanging with me and my friends nobody messes with her." I say with a smile. "Oh that's good, I'm so glad you accepted our daughter into your little group." Her mother says. "He stood up for me before he knew who I was. Once he found out he still wanted to be my friend." Kendall says and her parents look shocked but they smile. "We are very happy to officially meet you Logan." Robert holds his hand out and I shake it. "And you as well." I say.

After dinner Kendall took me upstairs to show me her room. We walk in and I look around. "Wow, you really like music." I say with a small laugh as I look around at all the music notes around the room and posters of different bands. "Yeah, it helps me think. When nobody else was there for me, music was." She smiles as she speaks. I had never thought of music like that before now. I guess she had a point. There was always a song that reflected a persons exact feelings. She walks over to a small stereo on her dresser. She turns on some song I'd never heard before. "So why don't you want a mate?" She asks, sitting on her bed. I had told her about it when we had been texting each other yesterday. "I want to travel the world, I want to get a great job and not have to worry about children. I don't want to stay in my pack for the rest of my life." I explain and sit beside her. "I guess that does make sense. Though I never thought any guy would think like that." She laughs and I shrug. "I just don't want to be like everyone else." I tell her and she nods. "I understand that. What will you do when you find your mate?" She asks. "Hope she younger than me so I have time to leave before she finds out we're mates. I don't want to hurt anybody, but I don't want a mate." I tell her. She nods again. "Sound like a good idea unless your mate is old enough to know you're her mate." She says and I sigh. "You have to remind me? I have know idea what to do if that happens." I say and she laughs again. "You'll figure it out, when the time comes. For now just have fun with life." She smiles at me and I smile back.

I look at my watch and see it's already almost 9. I feel Kendall lean against me and I look down to see her fighting to keep her eyes open. I smile and move her so that she's laying down. I pull the blanket over her and she's out within seconds. I smile and leave a kiss on her forehead before leaving the room, closing the door behind me. She and her family deserved better than this house. Now that I look around I notice how worn down the house really is. I walk downstairs and find Kendall's parents sitting together watching tv. I walk over. "Thanks for having me for dinner. I should get going now but I thought I'd let you know Kendall fell asleep while we were talking. She seems really tired." I tell them. Robert nods. "Thank you Logan. I'm glad our daughter has a friend like you to accept her. We haven't exactly been having best times, being rouges, but no pack will take us." He says and I frown. "I am sorry to hear that sir, I'm glad I can help Kendall, and I'd be glad to help you out if you need anything." I tell him before walking out and closing the door behind me. I would help Kendall and her parents any way I could, and I'd start with talking to my father.
