Chapter 17

I run after my mate. I see her running and I call out her name. She keeps going. I run faster and finally catch up. I growl and jump at her, tackling her. I wrap my arms around her as we hit the ground and I make sure I hit first, with her on top of me. I growl as I roll over and pin her under me. "Why did you run from me?" I ask, looking straight at her. "I don't want to ruin your future. I Kendall Summers re-" I throw my hand over her mouth. "No, I wont let you reject me." I growl. I see he eyes getting watery. I move my hand to her cheek. "You didn't want a mate. I cant ruin that for you." She starts crying. I mentally slap myself. Why was I so stupid? I never should have told her I didn't want a mate. Now everything was at risk of being ruined forever. "You don't want a mate.. just reject me Logan. I'll be ok." She says in a quiet tone. I frown as the tears fall from her eyes. "I refuse to let you go. I changed my mind Ken. Being away from you was hell. I'm never letting you go again." I tell her with a smile. Her tears stop. "So.. you do want me?" She asks. "Of course I do. Who wouldn't." I glance down and see she's wearing the necklace I gave her. "You wore it." I smirk at her and she laughs. God her laugh is amazing. "Can I get up now?" She asks. I smirk and think for a moment. "On one condition." I tell her. "What's that?" She laughs. I lean down and press my lips to hers (to the side), she definitely wasn't expecting that. She kisses me back before I pull back and give her a cheesy smile. She blushed which made me laugh. I get up and pull her to her feet. "We should get back, everyone will be getting worried." I take her hand as I speak. She smiles and nods, that's when I hear a low growl. I pull Kendall behind me as I face the direction of the growl. A dark brown wolf steps out of the shadows. I growl back at him. Kendall grabs my arm. "That's the wolf that attacked my dad." She says. I realize who I am facing then. This was Peter. He shifts and I feel Kendall put her face into my back. He pulls on shorts. "You are Logan correct? Stella's youngest son." He says, smirking. I growl. "What's it to you?" I ask, glaring at him. "Oh, just making sure I got the right person. I'm guessing the rouge girl is your mate from how you were acting." He laughs. I tighten my grip on Kendall's hand. "Stay away or else." I growl. He laughs. "Or else what? You'll kill me?" He smirks. "Logan..." I hear Kendall's scared voice. I turn and see we are now surrounded by men and wolves. "You see, I will always win." I hear Peter say before slamming something against my head. I hear Kendall scream and the last thing I remember is calling out to my family through the pack link.

I wake up but can't move my arms. "Logan... are you ok?" I open my eyes and see Kendall across the room from me. She is bloody and bruised. I growl. "Who did this to you?" I ask. "I tried to fight back.. I got beat up pretty bad though..." She tells me. This makes me even more angry. "Did Peter touch you?" I ask. "Don't worry. I haven't touched her. Yet." Peter says, walking into the room. Its more like a cell. I growl at him and he smirks and pulls a chair up, sitting so he can see both of us. I struggle to get free but it only burns. "That's silver boy. You wont be getting out of it. Oh, and you're way to far from your family to use mind links with them, and since she is a rouge, and you haven't marked her yet, you can't be speaking with her without us hearing you." He gives me an evil smirk. I glare at him but internally I smile. He didn't know Kendall had joined the pack. Kendall looks scared. It'll be ok. He doesn't know you joined the pack. I tell her through the link, keeping my eyes on Peter. I'm scared Logan. She tells me. "So let me tell you why I brought you here." Peter says. I growl. "I found my mate a few months after everything that happened with your mother. I shared everything with her and we came up with a plan together. She wants Stella to pay for what she did just as much as I do. We had a son, who is 19 now. He is in on our little plan. Though, he is going to make you hurt much more than I ever could Logan. By taking your mate as his own." These words anger both me and my wolf. I snarl and try even harder to break free. Kendall has fear plastered on her face. "If anyone touches my mate I will slaughter them!" I snarl, only its not my voice, its Kai's. Peter just watches me, smiling. He stands then. "Have fun trying boy." He says before leaving the room. I keep struggling to get free but the harder I try, the more it burns my wrists. I finally give up and look at my mate. She is staring at the place where Peter vanished. "Hey hey hey, look at me love." I say with a soft voice. She looks at me and I see tears rolling down her face. "We will get out. I called out to everyone before I passed out. They know we're gone. They know its Peter." I tell her. She nods quickly but the tears keep coming. "What are we going to do Logan?" She asks in a broken voice. "We are going to stay strong ok? Don't let them get to us." I tell her with a smile, but I know it wont be ok for a while. Not until we are found, which could be days, or even weeks. If Peter is telling the truth I hope my family finds us soon. If they touch my mate I will kill them all. I sit back to try and relax. "Just relax ok. We will get out of here." I tell her with a smile. She nods and sits back against the wall. I start wondering what they did to Kat to make her so scared. I hoped the same didn't happen to my Kendall.
