Chapter 13

The next few days were difficult but I made it through without to much trouble. Me and the guys had gotten to be really good friends. I had spoken to my family every day, Kendall however, I spoke to more than once every day. I still had yet to figure out what I was going to do about the whole thing, the more I talked to her, and heard her voice, the more I wanted to be close to her. I kept wanting to say I would go back to her and be with her but I feel like when she learns what happened she will hate me. I was currently in one of my classes. The professor was just finishing up the lesson. Liam is beside me. "Hey so there's a party tonight." He says with a smirk. I look at him. I laugh quietly. "And you want all of us to go?" I ask. Jack and Aiden are both smiling with excitement. I sigh. "Alright I'm in." I say as everyone starts to leave the room. The three cheer and everyone looks at us funny. I laugh and we make our way out of the class room and back to our own room. The party is in a couple hour so you guys do whatever." Liam tells us before walking over to his bed. "I have a few things to do so I'll talk to you guys later. I'll be back in an hour." I tell them as I grab my wallet and phone. I head out and get a taxi to take me to the nearest mall.

I walk into many stores but have yet to find what I'm looking for. I already got something for Ariel but I just couldn't find the perfect gift for Kendall. This was harder than I thought. My phone goes off and I look down at it.

Hey just wanted to let you know, Kendall is trying to plan a party for you when you come home.

I sigh at my brothers text.

Thanks for letting me know. I am currently looking for a birthday present for her. Already got Ariel's. This is so hard!!

I send the text to Dakota then continue walking through the different stores. I go into a jewelry store and start looking around when Dakota texts me back.

Just buy her something shiny, don't all girls like shiny things?

I laugh at that. Maybe he was right. Jewelry is an easy gift for almost any girl. But I needed to find the perfect necklace of bracelet for her.

Ok thanks bro, I'll talk to you later.

I send back, then slide my phone into my pocket. I walk up to the woman at the counter. She looks at me and smiles. "How may I help you?" She asks. I can tell she is a wolf, which will make this easier. She looks to be in her mid thirties. "Oh good, you're like me." I say and she laughs and nods. "I need the perfect gift for my mate, only she doesn't know I'm her mate." I laugh nervously. She nods and starts thinking. "She is back in America while I'm here for an early admission thing at a college." I explain. She nods. "I have a few things that you might find interesting that you wont find back home." She tells me. I smile. "Will you show me?" I ask and she nods and goes into the back room.

I wait for her to come back and when she does she has a few boxes. She lays them out and hands me the first one. "That is a special edition necklace we got in a few days ago. It is a limited time thing. Its simple but a great gift." She tells me. I open it and smile at the beautiful necklace. Kendall would love this. It was a silver chain necklace with a shiny bluish green diamond in the shape of a wolf. It had silver around the edges. You would think it would look strange but it looked like an actual wolf. "This is amazing. She would love it." I say as I stare at the necklace. "Then we have this." She hands me a much smaller box. I open it and see a ring inside. I look at the woman with wide eyes. She laughs and shakes her head. "Its a promise ring, though I'm not so sure if you would get her that, since she doesn't even know you are mates." She says. I sigh and stare at the ring. It was definitely something I would get her if I wanted to get her a promise ring, but probably not now. I set that box down and continue looking at all the others.

After the mall I decided it was about time to head back to get ready for the party. I get a taxi and have them take me back to the campus. I get to the room and set my bags down. I had gotten Kendall's gift and would mail it before we went to the party. The other three were already taking showers and changing into clothes for the party. I took the box that held the gift and set it aside. "Where have you been for the past hour Logan?" Jack asks as he steps out of the bathroom. "Went to the mall. I had to get a gift for Kendall and my friend Ariel. Their birthday is in 4 days. They share a birthday." I explain as I look through my things for clothes to wear. "Oh cool, you find her something?" Liam asks. I smile as I nod. I throw the clothes I chose onto the bed then grab the box. I open it and show the wolf necklace. "Wow that is so cool!" Aiden says as he looks at it. I nod "I thought the same. Which is why I got it for her. She will love it." I put it back after they got a good look at the necklace. "She will love it Logan, you wont have to worry about her hating you after that." Jack laughs and goes back to getting ready. I shrug. "You guys done in the bathroom?" I ask and they all nod. I walk in and take a fast shower.

After my shower I pull on my nice jeans and a button up shirt. I walk out of the bathroom and see the other 3 on their phones quietly. "Well aren't you 3 just amazing at communication." I tease. They look at me and shrug. "Well now that you are ready we can leave." Liam says. I nod and walk over to my things. I grab the gifts for Kendall and Ariel and take them with us as we leave. "I need to drop these off and get them shipped before their birthday's." I tell them as we walk out to get a taxi. "I'm sure we can get the taxi to take us to the nearest post office." I nod. We get a taxi and ask them for the nearest post office. When they get us there I run in while the others wait in the car. I talk the people into getting it shipped to my house in only 2 days, to my relief. After I get the people the address I run back out and we are off to the party.
