Chapter 16

2 months later

Today is the day I finally go home. After 2 months of this early program I am finally going home. I get to see Kendall for the first time. She will finally learn I am her mate. I just have to hope it doesn't hurt her. I was currently at the airport with my friends. They had all agreed to coming to my place for a night before heading home. "Hey maybe Aiden will finally find his mate in your pack Logan." Jack says with a smirk. Liam and I laugh but Aiden glares at us. I hear our flight get called and I jump up to go while the others follow me. I was very excited to go home. One, because I would get to see my Kendall, and two, because I was getting to surprise her. I had told her I would be home later than I was actually going to arrive. My brothers were also in on this plan. This was to surprise my sisters, Ariel, and my lovely mate. The plan was to call her once I was back home and tell her my flight would be late and that I wouldn't be in till the next day. Of course, I'll be calling her from home. She will come to tell everyone the party is off, and instead, I'll be there to surprise her. We make our way onto the plane and I text my brother to let him know I was on my way home. This was going to be absolutely amazing.

A few hours later and I'm finally back home. Me and the guys rented a car to get us to the pack house. Dakota ran out to us with Zach shortly behind him as we pulled up to the pack house. "Logan!" They both yell before tackling me. I laugh and drop my bags. I hear my friends laughing as well. "I missed you guys too." I say as they both back away from me. They look to my friends. "Oh, these must be those guys from the video chat." Dakota says, holding his hand out to them. He shakes each of their hands. "I'm Dakota, soon to be Alpha of Blood Rose pack." He introduces himself. That's when I realize; one, I never told my friends what pack I was from, and two, I didn't tell them that my father was an Alpha. Liam looks at me with wide eyes. "Blood Rose pack? Alpha? Dude why didn't you tell us you were the Blood Rose Alpha's son?" He asks. I run a hand through my hair. "I didn't think is was all that important.." I laugh nervously. "Dude you're part of the strongest and the largest pack in the world." Aiden says with clear shock in his voice. That shock fades however when he takes a deep breath and his eyes go wide. "Mate." He says before looking around. Right then, Ariel and Jasmine walk out with Kat behind them. Two of those girls already have mates. I know which one is his mate, it's way obvious. I grab his arm and quickly whisper into his ear. "She won't know yet." He looks sad but nods. The girls see me and run towards us. "Logan!" They all shout before tackling me. I laugh. "Oh come on. I've only been gone for 2 months." I shove them off but Jaz clings to me. I see Aiden trying to hold back his wolf. "Alright Jaz, don't crush me." I tease and push her off. "I missed you big brother." She says before releasing me. Aiden let's out a sigh and I smirk. "Guys these are my friends; Jack, Liam, and Aiden." I introduce my friends. "And guys, this is Dakota, Zach, Kat, Jasmine, and Ariel, my best friend and Dakota's mate." Everyone says hi and Aiden hold out a hand to Jaz who smiles and shakes it. "Nice to meet you, Jasmine" He says and she nods. "You too, Aiden." She says with a smirk. Dakota growls but I hit him, causing him to stop. "Shall we go in?" I ask and they all nod. We make our way inside and I tell the girls the plan. Ariel is way excited. My mother walks into the room and runs over to me after yelling out my name. She hugs me and I laugh but hug her back. Soon behind her is my father, Luke, Alec, Jamie, Sam, and their mates. Luke walks over to Kat and my father goes to my mother. My aunt Lacken walks over and hugs me, as does my aunt Aria. I also tell all of them the plan. That's when they all decide to tell me that Kendall and her family have joined the pack, thanks to my oh so wonderful mother. They let me know that the party was supposed to start in an hour but everyone would probably be showing up very soon. Ariel tells me that Kendall was going to be later than everyone else because she wasn't coming till after everyone else. Which was a relief. This was going to be the perfect surprise for my amazing mate. I just hope everything works out the way I planned.

People were showing up and as each person walked in; either Dakota, Zach, or one of the girls, would tell them the plan. I look around and see Aiden talking to Jaz. I smile at them. Aiden would be good for her. He had spoken to me and advised me that he was going to work into the boyfriend stage and when she turned 18 they could be full mates. I immediately told him I agreed to the plan and I gave him permission which he was happy for. My brothers did the same, as well as Sam and my father, and also Alec and Jamie. Everyone in the pack was very protective of the females around here. I decide its time for me to call Kendall so I go upstairs and to my room. I press the call button beside her name. She answers almost instantly. "Logan! Are you almost to the airport?" She asks in an excited tone. "Ken.. I'm not gonna make it tonight.. my flight was delayed and I won't be in till morning.." I make myself sound upset and I hear her sigh. "That's ok.. I'll just go let everyone know. I'm 5 minutes from the pack house." She tells me. I smirk at that. "Well hey. I promise to spend all day with you tomorrow princess. My phones dying, gotta go." I say before hanging up. Did I seriously just call her princess? How stupid can I get! I run downstairs. "She will be here in like 5 minutes!" I yell at everyone before I get into my hiding place.

Not even 5 minutes later I sense Kendall. She more than likely wouldn't notice my scent right away. She climb up on the stage where I'm hiding behind a curtain. She grabs a mic. "Hey guys. I have some bad news..." her voice holds sadness. I frown and step out behind her. Everyone is smiling. "Logan isn't gonna be in till morning.." She says with a frown. I smirk. "What are we going to do?" I ask. She turns to me and froze. She smiled at first but then it vanished. I saw the gleam in her eyes fading. "Logan..." She says in in a sad tone. I smile at her. She steps back, shaking her head. I frown. "What's wrong?" I ask. She keeps stepping back and steps right off the stage. I catch her and pull her against me. "Don't run away from me." I say worriedly. She pushes me away and I release her. She turns and runs off the stage, and out the door. I stare after her, shocked. "Dude go!" Liam yells at me. I look at my friend then nod and run after my mate.
