Chapter 15

The next couple of days were hell. I couldn't stop thinking about what Kendall had said to me. Today was hers and Ariel's birthday. I wanted nothing more than to be there with my Kendall. But that wasn't possible. The day before, I had gotten a text from Dakota saying he got the package with Ariel and Kendall's gifts. I wondered how Ariel would act when she saw that Dakota was her mate. She would probably be mad at him for how he ignored her all the time. I was currently sitting on my bed about to start up Skype on my laptop. I hadn't used it since being here. It was the perfect way to see Kendall without her knowing I was her mate. Only my scent would allow her to figure that part out. I push the call button to call Dakota. He answered shortly and I see him and Zach. "Logan!" They both yell, causing Liam and the others to look up from their phones. I laugh "Hey guys." I say. "Ok so Dakota hasn't seen Ariel all day. I'm going to show you their first time seeing each other today." Zach says with excitement. Jack walks over and gets into the view of my camera. "Hi!" He says with a large smile. Zach and Dakota look surprised. "Sorry, that's one of my room mates. The other two are coming over now." I say with annoyance and Liam and Aiden come over and get into the camera shot. "These are my brothers." I tell my friends. They say hi then back away so I can see my brothers again. "Ok so lets see this." I say and Zach laughs. He takes the laptop and they leave the room they were in. He changes the camera view so that I see them walking downstairs. Me and my friends stay quiet and watch. Dakota is behind Zach. I see Ariel and Kendall talking to other people. There are a lot of people around. "Hey Ariel!" I hear Zach yell. Ariel turns and looks right at him. She froze and I'm guessing she saw Dakota. Zach steps away so that I see both Ariel and my brother in the shot. "Hey there beautiful." Dakota says with a smirk. I roll my eyes. Very smooth brother. Ariel's face turns deadly. "You jerk! You've been acting like you hate me for all this time when you've been my mate all along!" She walks over and slaps his arm. Everyone there laughs. Dakota takes the hit with a smile. "Oh come on Ariel, I couldn't be near you without feeling like telling you the truth." He confessed. Ariel smiles at him and then he grabs her an kisses her right in front of everyone. "Yeah Dakota!" I yell. I see him smirk and then pull away from her. She looks around. "Logan?" She says. I laugh. And Zach turns so I can see that everyone is looking around for me. "I'm right here!" I call and everyone turns to the camera. Zach laughs and flips the laptop so everyone can see me. "Logan!" Ariel runs over to the laptop and Kendall is right behind her. Liam and the other 2 squish into the camera view and wave. Ariel smiles and waves at them "These are my new friends." I tell them. Kendall is smiling at the screen. I smirk. "Hey Dakota, give them the gifts I sent." I say to my brother who is beside Ariel. Both girls turn to him with excited faces. He hands them both their gifts and Ariel opens hers first. I had gotten her a stuffed bear that said 'London' on it and it was decorated with a London theme. She had an obsession with teddy bears. "Logan I love it! Thank you!" She says, looking at me through the screen. "No problem. Kendall open yours." I say with a small smile. She does and I hear her gasp. Everyone looks to see what she got. "Logan it's beautiful." She says, taking the necklace from the small box. She looks at me through the screen. "I love it." She says. I smile. "Dakota will you help her put it on for me?" I ask my brother who smiles and nods. Ariel smiles at him as he takes the necklace and latches it around Kendall's neck. "It looks good on you." Aiden says, I turn to him and glare but he is smirking. Kendall laughs. She takes the laptop from Zach and starts walking. From the look of it she is walking upstairs. I look at my friends and Liam gets the hint. "Aiden, Jack come on I wanted to show you guys something." Liam says, pulling get the 2 out of the room and closing the door. By the time they are gone, Kendall is in a room alone. "How have you been?" She asks. I laugh nervously. "I'm alright. I do miss home." I tell her, making her smile soften. "We all really miss you. I really miss you." She says with a now sad smile. "I miss you too Ken. I will be back soon enough and then I will spend a couple days with you." I say with a smile. Her eyes light up. "Really Logan?" She ask. I nod. "A whole day?" She asks and I nod again, laughing. She cheers in excitement, making me laugh even harder. "These 2 months are going to go by so slow.." She complains. I smirk. "You will survive Ken." I tell her. I had missed seeing her face. I just wish I could be there in person for the party. "Oh! We are having a party when you get home. Did Dakota tell you?" She asked. "He mentioned you wanting to have one." I laugh. I hear a knock on the door and the guys walk in. "Sorry to inturupt dude but we gotta go." Liam tells me. I look at the time and frown. "Hey Kendall I gotta go. Have to get to class." She frowns but then smiles again. "Alright well text me whenever you can." She says. I nod. "I promise." She just smiles before hanging up. I sigh in frustration. My thoughts were changing. I wanted my mate. I look at my friends and they are all looking at me worriedly. "Dude.. you ok?" Jack asks. I turn my laptop off and stand. I shake my head. "Who knew this would happen to me. I thought I wouldn't have a problem being away from Kendall. I'm only a week in and I can't stand being this far away from her." I tell them. Aiden looks at me. "How bad could it be though dude? You've only known her as your mate for a week and she doesn't even know about it." He says in a confused tone. I look at each of my friends. "I think I love her." I tell them. Liam smirks. "You're in for the ride of your life dude, because Love Hurts, like a bitch."
