"Oh my gosh, thats beautiful!" I exclaimed.
I admired the glinting lights of a beautiful Christmas tree set up in a shop window, with the most breathtaking ornaments I'd ever seen.
"Ya've said that 'bout every Christmas tree we've seen!" Niall laughed, walking over and standing behind me.
I laughed, taking his hand as we hurried to catch up with his family.
"Oi let's go in here!" Greg stopped, turning to a jewelry shop.
We entered the warm building, shaking off our coats. We each went about our separate ways, admiring all the pretty jewelry in their glass barriers.
I looked around and was immediately drawn to a beautiful case full of necklaces. Spinning the rack, I smiled in delight at the way the diamonds all caught the light and shimmered.
Suddenly, a simple diamond necklace caught my eye.
I picked it up, looking closely at the tiny diamond, encased in a beautiful silver heart. Inscribed on the heart was little leafy patterns, something that looked like it belonged around a princess's neck.
"See something ya like?" Niall asked, resting his chin on my shoulder.
"It's beautiful..." I whispered, running my finger over the chain.
"How much is it?" He asked, his hands rubbing my sides. I turned over the box it was in, my mouth dropping when I saw the price.
"Holy..." I trailed off, putting it back on the rack. Niall frowned, giving me a confused look.
"What?" He asked, following me to the other side of the store, "How much was it?"
I turned, wrapping my arms around his waist.
"Way too much... Unless you wanna spend 2000 dollars on a necklace like that..." I sighed, kissing his cheek.
"Yikes..." He replied, cringing at my answer.
I nodded sadly, sighing as he rubbed my back.
"Maybe one day..." He smiled sadly, trying to give me hope. I forced a smile at his failed attempt, kissing his cheek before we walked out of the store, the others following behind us.
We shopped a while longer, eventually returning home to meet up with Niall's father for dinner.
I wasn't going to lie, I was even more nervous to meet the man behind it all.
"Nice to finally meet you!" I chimed, holding my hand out for Niall's father to shake and trying to keep my cool.
He gripped my hand firmly, a warm smile on his face. It was scary how similar he and Niall looked alike. Even more so than Niall and Greg!
"Nice to meet ya too Ronnie! I'm Bobby," he smiled, glancing at Niall whom held a protective arm around my waist.
Niall smiled, nodding to him.
"Good to see ya, Da!" He smiled, hugging Bobby.
Bobby chuckled, rubbing his sons back gently as they held eachother.
"Good to see ya too son. I've missed ya!"
I smiled at the pair of them, Niall blushing a bit as they pulled away. Bobby glanced at me, a small chuckle escaping his lips.
"I expected ya to bring home some sort of souvenir from college, but not a beautiful girl like this! How'd ya manage it?"
I blushed deeply at his comment, hugging onto Niall tightly. He smiled down at me, resting his head atop mine.
