"Ronnie, don't cry! Babe, it's going to be okay. It's not worth it, crying over people like them!" Becca cooed, hugging me close. All I could do was sob.
I wasn't a slut.
And the things they said about Niall made me terribly upset as well. I loved him, and I knew he was different. He had made mistakes in the past, but he had changed. No one but I saw that.
But now I was the laughing stock of the entire campus. This day couldn't have gotten any worse. And no matter how much Becca tried to comfort me, I just couldn't stop the sobs from racking my body.
My face was a mess, tears streaking my skin, mascara running down in thick jets. My hair was a mess as well, and poor Becca's shirt was ruined from all my makeup.
"Ronnie, you aren't what they say! You're none of it!" Becca said, rocking me back and forth in her arms. We'd been sitting here for over 20 minutes, and I hadn't stopped crying since. Suddenly, there was a loud knock on the door.
Becca released her arms from around me, getting off my bed and walking over. I covered my face with my hands, embarrassed for anyone to see me like this.
I heard the door open, loud footsteps making their way over to me. But I didn't look up.
It startled me when I felt two strong arms wrap around my body, picking me up and placing me into someone's lap.
"Ronnie, look at me," Niall murmured. I shook my head no, the tears and cries still coming in waves.
"Ronnie, I said look at me dammit!" He yelled, ripping my hands away from my face. His clear blue eyes came into view moments later, staring intently into mine. All was silent until I buried my head in his shoulder, letting the tears continue to flow. His arms wrapped around my body, holding me against him.
"Who the hell did this to her?" he asked Becca, anger clear in his tone.
"Basically the entire campus, Niall. It was Charlie that started it though..." Becca sighed, sadness in her voice. Niall released a heavy sigh, rocking us back and forth.
"What did they say to her?" he asked, his fingertips playing with the ends of my hair.
"Well, they called her-"
"They called me a slut!" I cried, peeling myself away from his body, staring him in the eyes. His face contorted in anger, his grip around me tightening.
Before I knew it, I was thrown on the bed, watching as Niall stomped out the door. Becca and I simply looked at eachother, before I started crying again.
"There, there," she whispered," Niall's got this."
----------------------
It had been hours since Niall had come by. And I was starting to worry.
I had stopped crying a few hours ago, after Becca had assured me everything would be okay. My voice was now hoarse, and my eyes stung from the lack of moisture there. I had taken a shower earlier, washing the remains of the cherry icy from my hair and face. I was all but ready to go to bed, exhausted from my long day.
"Becca, go to your party," I sighed, pulling the covers over my pajama-clad body. She stood there, her arms folded across her chest.
"No," she said flatly.
"Becca, it's really nice of you to offer to stay with me, but I'm not letting you ruin your Saturday night. Now go!" I said, anger boiling in my veins.
"I said no Ronnie! I'm not-"
We were interrupted my a quiet knock on the door. I sat up in bed as Becca rushed to answer it, hurriedly turning the handle.
