I couldn't control my hysterical laughter as Niall and I walked out of literature class.
"Oh my god! That's horrible!" I giggled, clutching my stomach.
After I'd gotten to know him a little better, he really didn't seem like such a bad guy. His grin widened as I continued to cackle as we made our way to our dorms.
"It's not that funny!" He chuckled.
He'd just gotten through telling me the story of when he took part in a senior prank, and ended up getting caught. I looked around, noticing the odd looks people were giving me as we walked by. I instantly shut up, embarrassed.
Niall noticed the embarrassed expression on my face, smiling a bit.
"Your laugh is really cute," he complimented, taking away some of my nerves. I felt the heat rise to my cheeks, my eyes shifting down to the books I was clutching against my chest.
The walk was a bit awkward, until we reached the path that would take us in opposite directions. We paused, looking at the ground.
Niall coughed, catching my attention.
"So um, Ronnie...Since we're friends now, I-"
"We aren't friends," I interrupted. He looked up, nodding at his mistake before continuing.
"Right... since we're acquaintances, I was wondering if you... um... well, are you doing anything this Friday? A friend of mine is havin' a party and I thought maybe we could go together..." he trailed off, rubbing his neck nervously.
He's so adorable when he's nervous.
I stood and pondered for a moment.
Should I go? I still didn't trust him fully, and what if his friends were like he was? What if they tried to pull a move on me? Or worse, what if he tried to pull a move on me, again!? And what if-
"Sure." My eyes widened at what had just popped out of my mouth. I watched as his nervous expression changed into one of pure joy.
"Really!? Um, I mean... that's great. I guess I'll see you tomorrow then?" he grinned, beginning to walk backwards. I giggled as he ran into a trash can, nearly falling over.
"See you tomorrow, Horan," I murmured. He smiled, waving goodbye before jogging down the path, turning the corner and disappearing.
I stood frozen a moment.
What had just happened?! Why did I say yes?! I found myself asking questions the entire way back to my dorm, until I reached my building. That's when I realized. I had just agreed to go on a date with Niall Horan...
And I was absolutely terrified.
-----------------
"You said yes!?" Becca squealed, running over and sitting in front of me on the bed.
"Yeah," I sighed, hiding my face in my hands.
"B-But...why!?" She squeaked.
"I don't know!! He's nice to me now, and... and I know we aren't friends but we're getting to know eachother, and he's behaving so well and... and Oh, Bec, you should've seen the way he fidgeted when he was asking me! It was adorable! How could I say no!?" I whined, shaking her shoulders.
"That's his game, Ronnie! That's what he uses to pull girls like you and me in!" She exclaimed. I groaned, covering my face again. She sighed, rubbing my back.
"It's alright... look, maybe he has changed. You never know. All I'm saying is, be careful, Ronnie. I'm not gonna warn you again."
I raised my head, looking her in the eyes. "I know that, I know to be careful. I will! But I'm still... I'm nervous," I whimpered. She sighed again, pulling me into a hug.
