She felt terribly hot, then she felt cold. She felt pricks like needles but she couldn't place where. Everything hurt.

One minute she was aware of the voices around her, the next she was enclosed in darkness.

'She's dehydrated, but medicine can only go so far. Moving her to the hospital was actually smart. Her test results should be back soon',

'Thank you Dr Bright', that voice she knew any day. Soon she drifted off to sleep.

He'd been watching her for the past three days, thank God his family had been on the prayer chain. She was having lesser troubled nights.

Her eyes suddenly snapped open.

She sat up, the eyes that bored into him were definitely not hers.

Humans didn't come with slits for irises.

He already began praying in tongues as soon as she opened her eyes, he only intensified it right now.

'She's mine!', whatever was in possession of her body hissed at him. He'd have sworn it had a black forked tongue.

'The day you are given the power  to give the breathe of life is the day she belongs to you! In the name of Jesus Christ out of her!', she convulsed a bit then settled back to sleep.

He quickly called Mama Becs and relayed what just happened to him.

'It's great how you handled it, the enemy only tried to spook you. Good thing you know your authority in Christ. We are closer now more than ever to our already given victory',

'Amen',

'Get some rest son, she's in God's hands now',

'Thanks Mama, when are you arriving again?'

'You're too young for short term memory kiddo, I'll see you this evening',

'Love you Mama!',

'Love you son, God bless you'.

He set the phone down but didn't rest, he began prayers again even though it wasn't his turn on the prayer chain.

"*""""""*"

'Oh look Ora, such a pretty thing', Mama Becs stroked her hair as she got close to where she was lying.

'I know Mama, poor thing must be so exhausted. You think you've seen it but then you're not so sure',

'Oh Ora, the devil is such a vile being. But God is more gracious and loving than he is wicked. Wake Dunny, he needs to freshen up. He's no use to us if he's not alert',

'I'm okay Mama',

'No you're not, that's the end of it. Off you go, Mama's got this',

'Hi Grammie', he gave Mama Ora a hug and a kiss on her cheeks.

'Hello my sweet boy',

'Hi Mama', he greeted Mama Becs as he greeted his grandmother.

'Go get some rest alright. Shower, shave, change your clothes and grab something to eat before you return. I'll know if you skipped any', she smiled making him laugh.

'Will do Mama. Thank you',

'Anytime baby'.

He closed the doors behind him as Mama Ora began singing songs of praise and victory unto God.

At the stroke of midnight Symphony woke up. Very alert, a little confused as to how she was back in Duncan's house and to the people awake and praying?.

An elderly woman who looked like she should be sitting took gentle but sure steps towards her and laid a cool hand on her forehead.

'Its done, glory to God!', shouts of joy were given. Songs began, she felt the urge so she sat up and took in the room.

Everyone was genuinely happy, joyful was the correct word.

'Blessed child you can get up if you want alright? Take a little walk. Must be tiring being in bed all this while', she looked at the elderly woman. Then she made a move to get up, someone tried to help but the woman said it was fine.

And she was fine, felt a bit off but the moment she stood she was fine.

No dizziness, no fatigue, nothing.

'We have a miracle! Glory to God',

She quickly scanned the faces of the people around here and relaxed once she saw the guys. Darius, Ben, King and Duncan.

Mrs Rodriguez was also there.

'Let's get you some water darling girl, you look patched', she allowed the other elderly woman lead her to a chair where a glass of water was given to her.

She touched her body where it used to hurt and she discovered that she was fine. No pains, even under her breast didn't hurt.

Tears came then, she just knew that she was free from the coven.

All ties broken.

With tear filled eyes she looked for Duncan who was already making his way towards her.

'I'm free', she whispered as soon as he was within reach.

'I know',

'I'm truly free Duncan!',

'Amen!', he gave her an encouraging side hug. She broke down in earnest and sang along to the songs she liked enough to learn during the services.

Finally, in the early hours of the morning everyone retired to get some sleep. Rooms were allocated, the young adults and teens opted to have a sleepover in the music room.

Beds were set up and under thirty minutes everyone was out. Except for Duncan.

He was sitting in the shadows lost in thought.

What next?

Where did they go from here?

How do they proceed?

He wished he could say he would cut off any romantic ties with her, which by the way wasn't official or anything but he couldn't. And he was very certain that moving on with any cloud of unforgiveness was a no no.

Sighing once more he got comfortable in the chair he chose and allowed sleep come.

A scripture rang through his mind before he slept off.

The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.

He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever.

He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities.

For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;

As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

The scripture above is Psalms 103:8‭-‬12 from the NKJV (new king James version)
