Chapter Nineteen

'Wakey wakey my darlings, we've got to pray. Come on you all',

Mama Ora's voice broke through the sleep haze in the room. Groans of protest were heard but gradually everyone woke up to find that their parents were already up.

'Don't you guys need to sleep?', Kingsley the lead protester said making Bishop and Jason snicker.

'Come now children, we've got to praise the Lord. It's a good day to sing his praises. Dunny go warm up the piano',

Duncan groaned as he went to do what he was asked to do.

The other instruments were equally handed out.

On days like this he asked himself why he got them all. Maybe because they were good bonding materials for him and his family.

'Dunny, Great is thy faithfulness', Mama Becs said as she came to stand next to him.

Then Great is your mercies was introduced by Nora who was on the violin.

No vocals were needed as the family worshipped.

Symphony watched from the sidelines. Till she was nudged by Aunt Chris.

'Just lift up your hands darling, and thank Him for giving you back your life', she did just that.

More songs were played, Mama Becs gave vocals.

'Let's take a minute to look at the scriptures. Ephesians chapter 5 verses 26 to 27. Read that for me Jason',

'That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish', Mr Rodriguez read out loud for everyone to hear.

'Praise God',

'Hallelujah', the responded.

'The Lord Jesus is coming for a glorious Church, one without blemish, a faultless Church. Now you may be wondering how that's possible? Especially with what we're seeing in these end times but that’s what His redemptive work was all about.

Colossians chapter one verses twenty one to twenty two in the contemporary English version says, “You used to be far from God. Your thoughts made you his enemies, and you did evil things. But his Son became a human and died. So God made peace with you, and now he lets you stand in his presence as people who are holy and faultless and innocent.”

Through the sacrifice of His own body as the sin-payment on your behalf, you now dwell in His presence.

There’s no enmity between you and the Father.

Ephesians chapter two verse thirteen to sixteen says "But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.

Verse seventeen and eighteen just tops it off, "And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father".

How comforting it is to know the true nature and character of our heavenly Father! He brought us to Himself. James chapter one verses five says, He “ …upbraideth not..,” which means He doesn’t reproach or criticize you. He doesn’t blame you for anything. He doesn’t count your sins against you Second Corinthians five nineteen says  "..that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation".

You’re free from accusation; you’ve been justified. No wonder Paul got poetical in Romans chapter Eight verse thirty three to thirty four. Let's have a look.

“Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again….”

Then in verses 38 and 39, he climaxed, “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Christ Jesus already died for you; He was condemned in your place. Thus, no one should condemn you anymore (Romans 8:1).

Christ is your righteousness (1 Corinthians 1:30). It doesn’t matter who accuses you; you’re holy, faultless and guiltless before God, because Jesus took responsibility for all your sins. He’s the reason God doesn’t charge you with wrong. Hallelujah!

Let's see some more scriptures shall we? First Thessalonians chapter three verses thirteen from the amplified classic version. Chris, be a dear and read it for us'.

'So that He may strengthen and confirm and establish your hearts faultlessly pure and unblamable in holiness in the sight of our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) with all His saints (the holy and glorified people of God)! Amen, (so be it)!',

'Amen, get this one for us too. Romans chapter Five verse eight to nine',

'But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him'.

'Isn't the Father just wonderful? Let's bow our heads and thank Him for His word that we've received this morning.

Dear Father, I thank you for the ultimate sacrifice by which I now stand justified in your presence. I’m the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, unblameable and irreprovable in your sight. Thank you for ushering me into this new life of righteousness, where I reign and rule with Christ forever, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

'Amen',

Turning to Symphony she beckoned her forward.

'What we've just shared is quite unbelievable, I get that. But for it to become yours and your reality you need to make Jesus the Lord of your life. He's the only one who made all this possible for us, and with Him on your side you can keep it that way. Are you ready sweetheart?', she asked

'Yes',

'That's a great choice. Now say this simple prayer with me and mean it with your heart.

'Oh Lord God, I believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ, Son of the living God. I believe He died for me and God raised Him from the dead. I believe He's alive today.

I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from this day. Through Him and His name, I have eternal life;

I'm born again.

Thank you Lord for saving my soul! I'm now a child of God. Hallelujah!!'

'Congratulations! And welcome to the family of God!',

She didn't know why but she felt loved,cherished. Especially with how the family gave her hugs and congratulated her.

Duncan gave her a warm smile from where he was seated.
