Twelve hours.

She was about to spend twelve hours on a jet with Duncan.

Yes other people were going to be there, but she was spending the time with him.

How exciting!

They'd sent their luggages ahead, the other people traveling with them were already at the airport. While she and Duncan were driving to the airport.

Reason for their delay was a phone call from Sandra asking Symphony to join her bridal train.

She'd said yes to it finally to the relief of the siblings.

The drove into the hanger with thirty minutes to spare. They immediately went to the jet and took their seats for take off.

'You two get the seat at the far back, there's a table to aid working plus lesser people to interact with', Symphony smiled at Stacy as they took their seats.

She sat first and Duncan took the seat opposite her.

In thirty minutes they were already in the air and she got her first shock by watching the sunset from that view.

Glorious was the word that came to her mind.

'Wow!',

'Told you you wasted your time sleeping through the flight. You hungry yet? You haven't eaten anything since breakfast',

'What do they have on the menu, I don't usually eat while flying',

'You get sick?',

'Almost got sick once, and have since cultivated the habit of snacking while on flights instead of taking meals',

'Alright, was going to suggest spaghetti and meatballs but seeing as we're snacking that's enough junk to send you into a sugar high right here', he opened the drawer close to him and true to his word they were plenty.

'Sweet!', she grabbed some crackers to eat.

Soon the movement of the plane rocked them both to sleep. Duncan joined Symphony on her seat shortly before they slept off.

At midnight Duncan woke first and found that everyone on the plane was sleeping and the light were considerably dim.

He turned to look out the window and found it closed. He opened it gently as not to wake Symphony.

The night sky was clear and the stars clearer.

He then went ahead to wake Symphony.

'Babe, come on. Open your eyes', she snuggled deeper into his chest instead of opening her eyes.

'Come on, you need to see this', she grudgingly opened her eyes and was wowed.

'This is beautiful', she said reverently. The sky looked so different from up here.

'When I was much much younger, I had insisted on going on work trips with mum. So she'd finally caved one summer and she'd brought me on one of her trips where she was co piloting',

'Is that allowed?',

'When you own the plane yes', he gave her an amused look.

'Right', she said dryly

'The plane belonged to the Sawyers, and by extension us. Anyway it was midnight and I was knocked out in the back of the plane. She woke me up and we sat by one of the windows. Never have I seen something as beautiful as that night, at least until now', he said the last part looking at her.

She cleared her throat that suddenly felt clogged.

'Well, it must have been an experience', was all she could come up with.
