Soon enough he found seats for them close to the lake. The lake was exceptional beautiful, but something else caught her eyes, the little chit Janice had presented to the Mother was in what looked like a heated argument with another girl.

Hmmmm, this is interesting.

She spotted a pigeon, made sure Duncan's attention wasn't on her before doing a simple spell that'll get her the whole gist later. She was nosey like that.

'Thank you', she said once he laid the drink he was asking for on the table infront of her. With her phone in the car she was able to give him her full attention.

'You're welcome. Thanks again for coming, it must have out a strain on your plans',

'Oh, well I just need to be there in two hours. So no biggy',

'Cool, hope you don't mind me wanting to know more about you?',

She gave a small smile as her response.

'So, tell me about Symphony', she laughed this time.

'Well I'm Symphony Racer. I do some freelance writing, but I also have a job as an editor in the Tribunal. Guess that's about it',

'Not a chance. Your hobbies, favorite food, favorite music, etcetera',

'Hmmm, well I do some crafts as a hobby, favorite food is yet to be decided, don't have a specific music genre that I can say is a favorite as well', she shrugged her shoulders.

'Okay, so I'm Duncan Rodriguez. I'm obviously an actor, my hobbies revolve around computers and this is one of the things I do for fun', he gestured to the gathering.

'I think I've seen some movies you starred in. They were pretty nice',

'I'm honored you found my movies 'pretty nice',

'Oh fine, they were great! Happy?'

'Very much',

'Alright, I'm the first of five siblings. You?',

'Well I'm technically an only child. Never knew my parents, lost them quite young. Was in the system till I was adopted at the age of eight',

'Wow, sorry about  your parents',

'No biggie. My adoptive parents were great though. They adopted me and some other kids, by the time we were old enough to move out we were well over twenty of us',

'Woah! Never heard of anybody taking in so many people like that and I know the Sawyers',

'Well this one did. We got to have an education, got siblings while at it. I occasionally go back to the house just to help out a bit with the new kids',

'Wow, that's a great heart if I've seen any', she flushed under his look.

She never flushes or blushes for anyone, neither had she ever felt bad for telling her usual lie.

The coven had come to their orphanage and adopted about eighteen of them, as many as were available to be taken.

She'd been barely six months old when she was given to the coven. She alongside other babies were handed over to caregivers, same for the bigger kids.

Basic privileges were provided, at the cost of joining the coven.

Initiations began immediately, those who couldn't be initiated were killed of for rituals.

Out of the eighteen, only nine still lived. Well eight cause Penny pissed of the wrong person.

They had a mandatory visit for all members to the coven twice a month, the frequency reduced as you go older.

But whenever a major heist was to be pulled, all hands were on deck.

'Well the Sawyers sound like great people',

'Yes they are, and I think our hour is up', he glanced at his beeping watch.

'Really? So fast?',

'Yea, time went to fast here',

'I can totally agree to that',

'Let's do this again, doesn't necessarily have to be hanging out using the church activities as an excuse'

She flashed a smile, her silver tooth making itself known again.

Definitely not shy...

'I'd like that',

'Yea? Let me have your number', he gave her his phone and she out in her personal number and email address.

'Is nine pm okay to call you?'

I wish.

'I don't know, might still be working. You know what? Call me tomorrow, anytime from 9am is fine', she caught sight of the pigeon and did a quick discreet flick of her, the pigeon flew ahead.

'Sure, let me walk you to your car',

Backing into the street she gave him a small wave before driving off, then slowing down she put down her back window and the pigeon flew in and dropped dead.

Pulling into the club she went to the dressing room to change and go man one of the bars.

She groaned as she saw the drag queens already at her designated booth.

'Doesn't the great Lernean Hydra have somewhere else to be?', she asked as she entered the booth.

'Now darling, if you don't like our company that much you shouldn't be in our booth', the one who spoke had his slit eyes on display. To many it looked like some sick contact lenses, but she like the others knew it was the real deal.

She felt something cold brush her leg and she shuddered in disgust.

'Please slither up something else and leave me be',

'Get out of my booth gorgeous, you're threading a very thin line this evening', the other one spoke not even looking up from the drinks he was preparing.

She didn't need to be told twice, especially after seeing the tongue of one of them.

Shaking of the disgusting feeling she returned to the changing room and waited for her cue to be called.

After her masked performance she went straight home and had a real long bath before going to bed.
