Significant time had passed since the whole ordeal, and she was adjusting. The new habits she had to get, the old ones she had to throw out. Not to mention she was still in Duncan's house.

Essentially a house mate at the moment.

The boys weren't complaining as their life long dream of having a chef finally came to pass.

She'd gotten lost in her bible study for the day and surpassed where she was meant to stop.

Glancing at the bible study plan she'd received that day from Mama Becs she recalled the short but life changing sermon on her new life in Christ.

She'd never trade it for anything.

Duncan's house had been picked as the summer destination for his siblings.

He loved them with all his heart but having all of them at the same time coupled with his housemates was quite an interesting experience.

He couldn't even say no, not like his opinion was asked for.

Your siblings are arriving this evening, send a car to pick them up.

Dad and I have plans.

That was it. Something that was very typical of his mum.

'Hi', his thoughts were disrupted by Symphony's greeting.

'Hey', he'd been civil with her ever since the ordeal. Not talking to her except when necessary and even at that he was direct.

And she couldn't blame him.

Trust was a fragile thing indeed.

'You okay? You look like you have something on your mind',

'Yea, umm. So I wanted to let you know that I applied for some jobs and I have an interview tomorrow', She said when he turned his attention fully to her.

'Really? That's great news, but why?',

Was he serious? She was tired of playing house for God's sake!

'To make good use of my degree, and I'm tired of being a freeloader', her voice and posture communicated her thoughts on the question.

'That came out wrong, I'm sorry. I meant to say you could literally stay as long as you want here. No one is uncomfortable with you being here or wants you to leave',

Except you, she added silently. She knew when she wasn't wanted.

'Well I just think it's time I move on with my life',

His response was caught off from the screeching that always announced the presence of his sisters.

He barely prepared himself before all three of them lounged for him.

'Hey hey hey! You trying to kill me?!', he yelled amidst the chaos

'Nope, we love you too much! We get to spend our summer break parents free!! Who wouldn't be ecstatic!!', Barbie the youngest said making him role his eyes.

'Fun within reason',

'Party pooper!', Jules said making the others laugh.
