"Mom, please. Just at the cafe." I placed both of my hands together and tried my best to the face Gab makes when he begs.
"I can't leave your brother." She irritatingly said.
"I'll ask Mavy and Diane to get me then?"
My Mom hesitated for a second but decided to go against it and sighed. She came closer and hugged me.
"Just, stay out of trouble. I'm very worried about you."
"Yes! Thank you, Mom." I jumped in excitement and went to my room to get dressed.
I'm so excited to meet the couple. Right, the two became official yesterday on our way home. Basically, I will be a third-wheeler now.
A loud honk was heard outside the house and two bright smiles greeted me as I made my way outside the door.
"Hey, girlie. How does it feel." Mavy motioned her head and cheeks.
"The ointments were really helpful, Mavy. Thank your Mom for that." I winked and went to the backseat.
"How does it feel?"
"Feel what?" Mavy asked.
"Being with Diane, finally."
I saw the two blush which made me roll my eyes at the sight.
"It felt good."
"You two finally did the deed?!" I faked gasped and dramatically placed my palm on my chest.
"Jesus, we didn't, Lane. Not yet." Diana winked to Mavy, who looks like going to explode any sooner.
"Alright, shush now. Let me get that macaroon."
My wounds are unexpectedly healing faster, that ointment is giving miracles. The bandage on my head is just where the wound is, which I didn't know were stitched. The bruise on my cheek is still there but it is fading.
We didn't bring up Kevdin for the whole day, which is quite calming.
"Mavy and the gang!" Marly laughed but stopped when she saw the bandage and bruise on my face.
"Baby, Lane, I hope the ointments are doing their magic." She said.
"Yes, they are actually. Thank you, Marly." I smiled and she gave me one back.
"Mom, you know what we came for."
"Hello, Diane." Marly winked to the now flustered Diane.
We pulled out of the driveway and parked the car near the cafe. We ate while listening to some music.
"Tomorrow is school again." Mavy huffed.
"It's good that we're not schoolmates with who-shall-not-be-named."
It's kind of good that Kevdin has a different school, but I was hoping to see her even just a glimpse to see if she's okay, guess that won't work because maybe I'll end up much worse in a hospital bed.

"You want to go home?" Mavy asked.
"Let's stay here for a while." I smiled and they both nodded.
It's already the afternoon and the sun looks so good from our view.
"Hey, look over there."
We followed where Diane's fingers are pointing out. It points out to the same dark corner where...Crap, she's there again, staring intensely at our car.
"Shit, drive drive drive." Diane alerted the shocked Mavy.
"No, I'm going to take care of this."
We tried to stop Mavy from leaving the car but it is no use because she's already rushing to Kevdin who stood straight and smiled at Mavy. They're too far, which means that we can't eavesdrop, too bad.
The two haven't started a fight yet, they're actually talking...very calmly.
"Aw man, she's not going to beat Kevdin's ass?"
"Probably," I muttered while not leaving my sight of the two.
Mavy went back to the car, we waited for her until she's inside and bombarded her questions.
"What did she say?" I said.
"You said you're gonna beat the shit out of her when you see her?"
"Guys."
"She said sorry, Lane."
Diane and I gasped.
"Why didn't she apologize to Lane instead? like, right now," Diane asked, shooting daggers at Kevdin who is still standing there.
"Look, I don't know, but she recognizes me and said sorry. She thought that you were one of his brother's men."
That was her brother? Shit.
"This whole time you've been just mistaken and beaten for it?? That asshole."
Before we can stop her, Diane was already outside the car and furiously walked to Kevdin who stood alarmed.
"Mavy, stop your girl." I slowly said but she just stared where Diane and Kevdin are talking expressively.
"Mavy!"
"Alright, alright." She rose her hand in the air and rushed to get Diane.
Diane harshly pushed Kevdin on her shoulders that hit the wall. Kevdin started to look at Diane with a murderous look. Oh...boy.
I went outside of the car too and slowly walked to the scene. Mavy was doing her work in keeping Diane in place.
"You lunatic! She didn't deserve that!"
Kevdin remained silent until her eyes met mine and to the wounds on my face, her expression showed sadness and...fear? Why the hell is she scared?
"I-I'm sorry, I have to go." She ran.
"The audacity!" Diane huffed and Mavy tried to calm her down while patting her back.
"Let's head inside the car."
We drive home and I thanked the two for tagging along. We bid our goodbyes and I headed straight to my room.
"My life is the worse." I groaned.
Since Kevdin has arrived in my life, everything became shitty. Maybe it will be best to avoid her from now on.
My friends were right, she was nothing but trouble.
