Lane's POV:

"You know, your face really seems familiar. I can't tell where..."

I silently watched as Lucas inched his face at me while studying me with his eyes carefully.

"Right!" He smiled so widely while stepping back.

"The daughter of the firefighter..."

Dad?

"Don't include my father in this." I threatened but he only took it as a laughing matter.

"God, look at you. He's already included in this."

"T-The hell are you talking about?"

Lucas looked at Alice and motioned her to go near me.

"Alice, show her."

Alice held the tablet between her shaking hands and I immensely watched the video being shown in front of me.

It was Dad, laughing with tall bulky guys while drinking a can of beer.

"You thought your Daddy was on some trip in what? Sri Lanka?" He chuckled and grabbed the tablet from Alice's hands.

"Why are you shaking? Go take a rest." Lucas angrily spat to Alice who only silently nodded and went to leave the garage.

He smirked and his eyes went to look to Kevdin then back to me.

"Now that you know that your Father is working for me, let's begin the show." He nodded to the men standing beside Kevdin, and within just a snap, Kevdin was punched to the face.

"No!" I shrieked as I fell completely to the ground while crying.

"I love you, sister. But, I don't want to take responsibility for you and Sean anymore."

"Asshole," I growled and ran straight to him.

My fists were ready to collide with his head but were forcefully stopped by two large hands.

"I see why you like this girl, Kevdin. She got the guts!" Lucas said while still facing Kevdin.

"Looks like she willing to take your place." He turned around and smirked.

"Lane! Stop being so stupid and get back here!"

It was Mavy who said that.

"Lane, listen to them, p-please?" Kevdin said worryingly.

This needs to be done one way or another.

"Take me instead. Let them all go." I raised my head and confidently stared at the amused Lucas.

"Wow...I mean, that was very low of you to just expect that I will let these bitches free-"

"Let. Them. Go."

Lucas rolled his eyes and asked his men to usher Mavy and Diane outside.

"Take her."

"W-Where are you taking her?"

"None of your concern, sister!"

Someone put a sack on my head and tied my hands.

"W-What about Kevdin? Let her go!" My voice became muffled but hearing Lucas' laughter, he understood it very well.

"Be specific sometimes, okay." I heard him whisper.

"Lane! No!" I heard Kevdin plead but it was too late because they placed me in a car.

"Where are you taking me?"

The car has started and it took them too long to answer so I decided to speak louder.
