Lane's POV:

"Do you want more?" Alice asked while raising a bowlful of rice.

"No, I'm good."

She nodded and smiled.

"It's to see you two getting along," Lucas said and winked at Alice who only blushed.

"Yeah, she's my everything." Alice looked at her passionately.

I only gave her a timid smile and continued to finish my meal.

"Well, it's nice having the first morning with you, Hazel. I'll go to work now." Lucas widely smiled and his guards went to follow him outside the house.

"How is the experience so far? Doing good or not?" Alice excitedly asked.

"I-It's good, so far."

"That's good to hear, babe." She smirked and kissed my cheeks.

I smiled and put my plate in the dishwasher.

"Let's go to school." Alice lend me her hand and I took it without excuses.

She opened the car's door for me and softly guided me with her hand behind my back.

The driver started to start the car and headed to school.

"By the way, I arranged my schedule so that we have the same subjects and time. Isn't that great?" Alice cooed and placed her thumb on my chin.

"It's perfect." I breathed out and smiled brightly.

She leaned her head on my shoulders and went busy with her phone.

"Smile!"

She held the phone in front of us as we smiled for a photo.

"God, you're so beautiful."

I saw her look at me with dreamy eyes and back to her phone.

This is it. I am currently Alice's girlfriend, which is not bad at all because they started to treat me well at home. Yet, there were times that I worry about Mom and Gab. I know they are probably freaking out, which deeply saddened me.

Alice won't let off her leash and always follows me around wherever I go. She said that she does it to protect me from Kevdin.

Kevdin...God, I miss her. I missed Diane and Mavy, the life I used to have before all of these messes I am currently in. Alice and Lucas scare me. The house, the bulky men walking around, and the isolation, frightens me.

But the memories of Alice telling me everything about Kevdin started my doubt about her. Although not completely, Kevdin has done some awful things to Alice and their family. I don't know, but I had this feeling that is telling me that it's not the whole story that Alice told me.

"You seem deep in thought." Alice scrunched her eyebrows and studied me.

"Yeah, the projects. They are due soon." I sadly smiled.

"Can I help you with those?"

"You're too kind." I smiled.

"No, let me help. Okay?"

I nodded and she quickly kissed me on the cheeks before going out of the car first because we just arrived.

She opened the car's door for me and held my hands.

"Thank you, Pancho." She smiled at the driver who only nodded.

"I can carry that." I reached for my bag that she suddenly hung over her shoulders.

She ignored it and only winked at me. We walked together to the hallway while holding hands. My palms started to get sweaty as I noticed students started to watch us.

"A-Alice?"

We stopped walking and Alice's eyes went to the black-haired girl who gasped in shock.

"Natalie."

Natalie was about to speak but Alice dragged me to walk. I turned my head to Natalie and saw a broken look on her face.

I confusedly looked at Alice who look straight ahead with a poker face.

"Who was that?"

"The girl I use to date until Kevdin outed me to the whole school." She spat bitterly.

We entered our class and sat at the table we sat at before.

"Are you guys together?" A blonde girl asked who looked seductively at Alice.

"Yes, is that any of your business?" Alice asked without looking at the girl whose smile died and went back to her seat.

The professor entered the room and the class started.

"Alice." I breathed out as her lips met my neck.

"Shh, you don't want them to hear us, right?" She huskily whispered to my ear and aggressively kissed my chest area.

"Oh my god-"

"Hello? Someone in there?"

Alice stopped and smirked evilly at me.

"To be continued."

Alice was the one to leave the cubicle first.

"Ah, I thought we heard something."

Diane and Mavy.

Suddenly, I had the confidence to face the two.

"H-Hey." I awkwardly said and the two gasped loudly.

"HOLY SHIT, LANE?! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!"

Mavy stood closer to me and was about to go for a hug until Alice stepped between us.

"Nope. You two need to leave this room right the fuck now."

"Anytime, girls." Alice rolled her eyes and combed her hair.

Mavy smiled worriedly but happily at me and left the bathroom with Diane.

"Now, we can finish what we started."

"U-Uhm, can we go to the cafeteria? I am starving." I apologizingly smiled.

"Fine! You're too cute to disagree with." Alice laughed and kissed me on the nose softly.

Alice left the bathroom first and left me standing alone with a head full of thoughts.

Should I find Kevdin?
