"What the hell?! What has she been doing to you?"

I sighed and looked hurt at the two who kept on scolding me.

"You don't understand it, Mavy," I whispered.

We're currently under the bleachers where Alice is off my radar since she has a special class today.

"What do you mean- Are you taking drugs?" Diane shook me and gave me a crazy look.

"The fuck? No!"

"Then why the hell won't you escape out of the house?!"

"Every corner of the house is filled with fucking guards, Mavy! Why the hell am I supposed to do?"

They both looked at me with worry and grabbed my hands together.

"Did you know that Kevdin went inside their house that day?"

My face quickly turned to guilt but was replaced when I remembered what Alice said.

"Yes, I know." I nonchalantly said.

"Jesus, the girl was trying to get you out! What happened back there?" Mavy exaggerated with a furious look in her eyes.

"A-Alice have said things-"

"God! You are dumb to fall for that! Alice might be lying to"

"No! She's not lying, okay?! Kevdin has done awful things before. I mean it, really terrible things." My voice cracked and I started to feel hot tears threatening to go out of my eyes.

"What are these terrible things?" Diane said with such an alert tone and held my hands with hers.

"Something about committing murder, abuse, and..." I trailed off but the two anticipatingly waited for my answer.

"Drugs."

"Holy shit..." Mavy gasped.

"Did she have evidence or something?"

No, she just said it.

"Y-Yes." I hesitated and they both looked at me suspiciously.

Mavy tilted her head and was probably thinking that something is not adding up.

"Are you sure?"

"There you are!"

Alice unexpectedly came out of nowhere and hazily grabbed my hands.

"I see, reuniting with friends." She smiled as she looked at the two who only kept a poker face.

"Too bad, you won't be meeting then again." She turned to me and beamed.

She dragged me away from the bleachers and we went straight to the car parked outside.

"I'm sorry-"

"I was clear last night, wasn't I?" She calmly said but her hands says otherwise.

"I told you to fucking only stay by my fucking side! Are you too dumb to remember that?!" She fused and angrily looked anywhere but me.

"I-I am really sorry."

"You know what, I won't let this happen again. The next few days, you won't be attending here anymore."

"W-What? You can't do that." I spoke in a low voice that she only laughed at.

"Baby, I can do anything I want." She said and roughly grabbed my face.

"Don't mess with me, Haven." She whispered.

The driver entered the car and we rode back to their house.

I silently wiped the tears that had ready come out of my eyes and stared out of the window.

"Enjoying the food?" Lucas sarcastically asked as I barely ate anything on my plate.

"Come on, eat up." Alice pushed the plate closer to me and watched closely.

I mentally cursed her and ate the food with remorse.

"Good girl." Alice smiled and placed a tight grip on my left thigh, making me flinch and jump from my seat a little.

"Alice, please, not in front of my salad," Lucas said and laughed.

"We'll take it upstairs then." Alice quickly wiped her mouth and grabbed my hands.

She took me to my usual room and locked the door behind her while giving me a devilish look.

I stepped back and nervously looked her into the eyes.

"Why are you nervous?" She innocently asked while taking slow steps towards me.

I gulped loudly as she was only inches away from me.

"Shh, relax." She whispered.

Alice placed a hand behind my back and tucked my hair behind my ears.

"You are so beautiful." She smiled and kissed the palm of my hands.

"Is it true?" I blurted out that made her step back a little.

"Is there something bothering you?"

I nodded and she sighed. She motioned for the bed for me to sit as she sat beside me.

"What is it?"

"Is it true that Kevdin...really did those things?"

She rolled her eyes at the mention of her name.

"Really? After everything I have done for you, you got the guts to talk about that psycho?" She crossed her arms and arched a brow.

I quietly nodded and lowered my gaze to the ground, expecting an outburst from her.

"Yes! Of course, they are true. Kevdin and her Dad are really close. So, Kevdin is practically his sidekick in crime."

"Did I answer your question?" She added.

"Y-Yes, thank you."

She smiled in response and cupped my cheeks.

"Now, is there a way to remove that sad face?" She pouted.

I still don't trust her and I don't think I'll ever will. Kevdin won't do such a thing. Right?

I contemplated at first, but the signs of Kevdin showing that she might really be involved in doing those crimes with her Dad, made me doubt her, my feelings for her.

With newly-found confidence, I faced Alice completely who only smirked at me.

"Yes, actually there is," I smirked.

With that, I grabbed her face to kiss her hungrily and sat on her lap.

"God, I love you." Alice breathed out.

I only smiled and continued to resume what we are doing.

I hope I made the right decision.
