"She's here?!"
"Yes! For the millionth time!" I exaggerated and laid to the sand with a thumping sound.
"I mean, this place is pretty popular," Diane muttered while roaming the beach with her eyes.
It's our second day here and we will be going home later at midnight. So, we mostly spent our time on the beach and teaching Mavy how to swim.
"Want to surf?"
I turned to Diane and enthusiastically nodded. I love surfing, now that the tides are getting high is the best time.
"Yeah, you two go ahead while I sunk here in the sand full of misery." Mavy brought down her sunglasses and shooed us away.
"Love you too." Diane threw her a flying kiss.
"Marry her already." I teased and Diane just rolled her eyes.
We got our surfboards and rushed to the water.
"Race you?"
"Hell yeah," I said with a pure adrenaline rush.
Right on cue, I started running towards the water until it is good enough for the surf to float. I carefully went on top of it and let the tide take me away from the shore.
"Jesus, you're too fast," Diane said while heaving slightly.
We were both on the deeper part of the water and the tide was getting intense, which is the best part.
"Say hi!!!!"
We heard a loud shrill from the shore and saw Mavy raising her phone in the air.
"Ugh, she's probably on-live." I rolled my eyes and went much farther away to pass Diane.
"Hey! Don't go too far!" She warned.
We spent surfing for almost 20 minutes until we decided to head back inside the house for a snack.
"You guys look so hot while doing that, especially you," Mavy said, speaking the last words to Diane before grabbing her face to kiss her.
I left the two and inside the house. My phone rang again and saw a private message from Kevdin.
"You know how to surf?!!" It read.
I wrote a simple "Duh," and threw my phone to my bed. I changed my clothes into a casual ones.
"Oh, already ready. Where are the other two?" Mom looked behind me and swiftly looked back to me again with an awkward smile.
"Nevermind. Get Gab ready, okay?"
I nodded.
"Gab, are you ready?" I knocked but didn't get a response.
When I entered his room, he is already prepared and was talking on the phone. He must have grabbed it when Mom didn't answer.
"Who is that?"
"I hope you're with us someday, Dad."
Dad?
"Ok, bye."
Gab turned to look at me and gasped.
"Was that really Dad?" I kindly asked.
He only nodded smiled weakly.
"He just said that his stay will extend for another two weeks."
Gab started to cry and embraced me.
"Oh, baby." I sighed and hugged him tightly.
"I want him back."
