In the best mood in a long time Anya walked to history class. So far her day had been great, no failed assignments, good sleep the night before and a stomach full of butterflies. She was thrilled to see Jasper and work on their project. Maybe the assignment wasn't so fun but being with him made it all better. She'd never admit to it, but her life had become a lot more joyful since she met him. 

She walked into the classroom and immediately spotted Jasper beside her usual seat, looking tense as usual and she could sense her cheeks heat up at the site of him just as usual. 

She sat down beside him and his head immediately turned her way, today his eyes were golden. When would that change again?

"You look very cheerful today" Jasper pointed out sensing her positive energy.

"I know" she answered eagerly. 

"Any causes?" Jasper asked making his southern accent more noticeable than he normally do when he speaks.

"Not really actually, everything is just going my way today."

Jasper was just about to answer when Mr. Addams begun his lesson. Then Jasper moved closer to Anya and whispered in her ear "I'm glad" 

A soft giggle came out as a response before Anya turned back to listen to Mr. Addams lesson, now he was telling them that their Civil War assignment was due till Tuesday. The classroom filled up with sighs and groans due to the lack of enthusiasm and will to finishing their projects. 

Anya and Jasper did their best to finish their project but they still had many things to improve. When the bell rang they gathered their stuff and started to head out of the classroom, side by side. 

"Anya, are free after school tomorrow?" Jasper asked.

"Most likely, why?" 

"Maybe we could finish our assignment then" He suggested.

"Yea, that's a good idea" Anya agreed "Or we could get together after school today?" 

"No, I can't I already have plans for this afternoon, sorry." Jasper said wishing he didn't, the only thing he really wanted was to spend time with her.

"You don't have to apologize" she said "What are your plans?"

"Um - I'm going hiking with Simon and Emmett" he lied.

"Does Emmett like to hike?" Anya questioned, she was shocked, she did not take Emmett for the kind who's out hiking in the woods. Or Jasper, not even Simon gives of that energy. 

"Surprisingly he does" Jasper said as they had reached Anya's locker, were she threw her books in as usual leaving the mess for later. They soon reached Jasper's locker were Alice waited along with Simon and Edward. 

"Hi" Alice squealed as she threw her arms around Anya and pulled her into a hug. Alice had clearly missed her yesterday when she hadn't been in school.

"Hi Alice" Anya said once their hug ended, then Alice ran back to Simon and held his hand, as always. Whenever they were together they always walked hand-in-hand. 

"Alice is almost dumping me for you Anya" Simon joked earning a laugh from everyone in the group. "Well if she leaves me I guess Jasper will be available" he continued, everyone laughed even Edward and Jasper but he gave Simon a quick glare. 

They all walked into the lunch room were Rosalie and Emmett already were seated. As they walked in Anya spotted Zoe, she had not seen her in a while. The teachers said that her absence was due to her being sick but Anya who had known Zoe in many years knew that wasn't the case.
