Anya sat at the dinner table with her mother, stepdad and little sister eating chicken stew with pasta and mushrooms, which Anya gladly separated from the rest of her food. If there was anything she could not eat without puking it was mushrooms and for once her parents were understanding about something or her stepdad to be more correct. He was super strict towards her and only her, mainly because she was the forever hated middle child. But Anya thought it was because she wasn't like her brother, he did as he was told but Anya was stubborn and spoke her mind when it really mattered to her.

(Written by a forgotten middle child)

Anya wasn't focusing on what was going on around her, her mind was occupied with thoughts of Jasper Hale. She couldn't stop thinking of him whatever she did he was on her mind.

"Anya, Anya, ANYA!" her stepfather Scott yelled. She had been so occupied that her hearing zoned out as well.

"What?"

"Me and your mother were wondering who drove you home today" he said.

"What?" she asked again, how did they know?

"Who drove you" he said, this time his tone was more harsh

"A friend"

"Zoe?" her mother asked.

"No, mom it was one my new friends" she said, using the word friend to describe Jasper felt wrong because they were more then that right?  Was what she constantly asked herself since their kiss. But still she wasn't going to tell her parents about Jasper. Because then they'd probably interrogate him and check his sanity for taking interest in Anastasia.

"Oh was it those two girls you had over a few weeks ago?" her mother eagerly asked.

"That's Rosalie and Alice"

"They're Dr. Cullens girls right?" her mother asked, she was a nurse at the hospital in Forks so she worked and probably knew Carlisle already.

"Yes" Anya said.

"Doesn't he and his wife have like two or three sons too?" Scott asked.

"Four actually, I have a few classes with them, they're nice.

"Do you like any of them?" her mom asked, she was too interested.

Anya wasn't going to answer that. "We are not having conversation" she said as she rose from her chair with her plate in hand, she went over to the sink and left it to then run up the stairs to her room shooting "Thanks for the food"

Her mother just smiled, not needing an answer to her question. That was the good thing about their relationship, they understood each other. They could talk about mostly anything, or at least before nowdays they weren't as close anymore. Anya didn't know why this was but she assumed that it was because her sister needed that more than her now.

Anya was now sitting in her coach reading the last chapter in her book Dead Until Dark while eyeing on the sequel Living Dead In Dallas eager to read it. Once she'd read the final line her phone started buzzing, she slammed the book and picked up the phone, it was Zoe.

"Hey" Anya said.

"Hi Anya" she said.

Anya knew that she was about to keep talking about Sophie but she didn't bother, she was happy for her friend.

"So? I'm I gonna her more about Sophie or what?"

"Of course you will! Now where was I?"

"Something about you met her at a party"

"Right, so I was at this party cause what else would I do on a Friday I mean you know me. Anyways I sat alone since Emma and I had a small fight. And that's when this beautiful girl comes in and I'm just speechless because she was just gorgeous. I never thought she'd come over to me... but guess what? She did! She offered me a drink and then we talked all night long."

"So when'd you start dating?" Anya asked and she could truly hear the joy in Zoe's voice.

"Well she got my number that night and texted the next day cause she wanted to see me again, so we meet up in Port Angeles in a cafe and just hit of. I mean we saw each other every day during my little break from school and I just knew I loved her right away."

"How old is she?"

"Our age, she's just moved from New York and she's starting school her next week! Can you believe it?"

"I can actually, only you could have that luck"

"Come on, try convincing me that Jasper Hale isn't in love with you"

Anya could she were this conversation was going. "Can we not cause I don't even know"

"But I do, did you not see how he looked at you?"

The two finally reunited friends talked for a bit longer mostly about Jasper from her on but also Anya befriending the Cullens. When the call ended Anya took a shower, pored oil in her long red hair, put on sweet pants and a hoodie and went down to say goodnight to her parents.

"Goodnight mom" she said as she hugged her mother goodnight.

Her mom said goodnight to but then remembered something "Anastasia, has your dad called?"

Anya felt a weight in her stomach when she mentioned her dad. "Yes, he has but I seriously don't wan't anything to do with him anymore"

"He is still your dad, remember that"

"Yes, I'll answer him next time goodnight" she lied before quickly heading up the stairs again. She knew she wouldn't answer, according to Anya her dad had as much value to her as an old coin: nothing. And he didn't deserve better either.

The girl tried to fall asleep before her mind could betray her with thoughts and memories of her dad. But surprise, surprise she didn't fall asleep. She laid awake for two hours before she finally feel asleep.

Her final thoughts were not on her father though. They were on Jasper. The question she tried to answer was if they were more than friends or not, she wanted them to be but the thing was that nothing had changed since before their first kiss. Maybe Jasper regretted it. No because then he would ignore her she thought. Anya thought that there was something he wanted to tell her, she always got that feeling.
