Anya layed in her bed staring at her ceiling, trying to think about something more to add to her and Jasper's essay. Jasper still sat in her couch, he knew a lot of things she could writhe but explaining those things wouldn't be essay. But after all he was going to have to do it some day right?
They heard a car pull out from the driveway which meant that they were all alone. Jasper had mixed feelings about this. He was scared that he was going to lose control of himself and hurt Anya and being alone with her meant that if it happened no one was going to be able to stop him. But there was still less humans around so that was a bonus even tho nothing could compare to Anya's scent, nothing.
"Do you have anymore tips on what to write?" Anya asked, tilting her head to look at Jasper. His eyes were black as night. Lately she had been wondering what mysteries that were hiding behind them.
"Well, what did we write on how it ended?" He asked.
She grabbed the laptop and scrolled down to the last few sentences "We wrote that the war ended in spring of 1865." She said reading directly from the text.
"You could write that the last major confederate army was surrendered to Appomattox Courthouse in what I believe was April 9th of 1865." He said without any doubts of the dates being correct. And when Anya checked them up they were.
"Okay" She said before writhing it down.
"You can also write that the last battle was fought Palmito Ranch in Texas on May 13th" He added.
"You make it all sound like you were there, I mean you know things that the internet isn't even sure of." Anya pointed out.
"Well what can I say, It's a gift" he said pleased with himself and a smirk on his pale lips while hiding the worry of saying to much.
"Gift?" she scoffed jokingly "Either your a huge geek, not judgement or your a time traveler"
"Time traveler?" he questioned, raising one eyebrow "Not really"
"Your a mystery Hale" Anya said.
"Maybe I am, Rivera" He said now using her last name.
"God, don't call me by my last name. It sounds weird" Anya said, turning around burying her face in the colorful pillows in her bed.
"So does Hale" Jasper pointed out.
"Okay Jasper" Anya said, giving up since she didn't want to be called her last name.
"Good Anastasia" Jasper teased, smirking at he girl who was turning read by his smirk.
Some time passed and soon the project was done. They both sat quiet, Anya not knowing what to say and Jasper being afraid to hurt her since they were alone.
"Are you hungry?" Anya finally asked, breaking the awkward silence.
"What?" Jasper asked shocked, it had been many years since anybody asked him that.
"I mean I'm starving, do you want to go eat something?" the girl asked.
Jasper didn't know what to say. He didn't want to excuse himself to go home because of this but he didn't know what to say so that he didn't have to eat anything.
"Sure" he finally said, seeing the immediate relief on Anya's face. She was still scared that their kiss was just an in-the-moment thing. So she was relieved that he did want to stay with her.
The redhead danced down the stairs and into the kitchen with Jasper behind her, except that he was walking calmly but still fast enough to keep up her pace.
"So, what should we have?" Anya said as swung the kitchen cabinets open.
"You choose, I'm not really hungry"
"Okay" Anya said, not questioned him about what she wondered. She wondered when he actually ate, he never ate in school and he wasn't hungry now. The girl grabbed a stool and climbed up on the kitchen counter to check for something that she wanted to eat. Then she pulled out a box of mac and cheese. "Aha" she said before jumping down from the counter.
The dinner was awkward to say the least. Anya had asked multiple times if he was sure he didn't want anything and he was. Anya finished eating fast so that they could do something else.
Anya yet again threw herself on her bed, face down into her pillows. She turned around to see Jasper inspecting her room more than he'd done earlier. He was now looking trough her vinyls.
"You're quite the music fan aren't ya" Jasper said pulling one of her vinyls.
"I guess so" she joked as she went over to him, took the vinyl from him cold, pale hands and placed it in her record player. Soon the music started playing. It was a slow song that her grandmother had given to her before she passed. She started to sway along to the music hoping that he would do the same, which he did.
Anya then took Jasper's cold hand and spun around, wanting to dance with him like they did that time at his house. Jasper already knew what she was up to, so he very carefully placed his hand on her waist and pulled her closer so that he could dance with her properly.
Jasper had to fight his instincts while being this close to her, her scent filling up his nostrils. It almost drove him crazy. But she was worth it. He felt the wave of affection coming from her as they danced, which was something he also felt himself.
"You're quite a dancer aren't ya" Anya said softly earning a chuckle from Jasper.
"So are you"
"No, I'm not" she said, looking down at the floor but then up again to look at his eyes, black with a glint gold.
The song was soon over and Jasper leaned down and kissed Anya's lips carefully, still afraid of losing control. But once he felt her kiss him back he didn't pull back, he didn't feel like he could. He carefully pushed her against the wall and started deepening the kiss, Anya had her hands in his golden locks and his were just bellow her waist. Soon tho Anya gasped for air, which Jasper had totally forgotten that she needed.
---
Anya looked trough some DVD's while Jasper sat waiting on her bed with a bowl of popcorn beside him. He had told her that she could pick what movie they were watching. Eventually she chose to see the first Harry Potter movie since Jasper had only read the books.
Once the movie was playing Anya curled up beside Jasper and as the movie went on she snuggled more up against him, eventually falling asleep. She barely touched the soda or the popcorn. She didn't even make it halfway trough the movie.
When the movie was over Jasper moved her snacks of from the bed and carefully tucked her in under her duvet and million pillows. He kissed her forehead before turning around to leave when he heard something.
"Stay" Anya mumbled in her sleep. Jasper who didn't want to leave gave in and laid down next to her.
"Goodnight Anya" he whispered.
