The fact that Anya said that she was willing to give up her humanity and human life just to be with him made him truly realize how much danger he put her in just by being close. He was used to being the weakest around humans and blood in his family but around her he wanted to able to feel normal. Or as normal as a vampire feels around humans or at all.
What really bothered him was that he was able to be near her and that had made him trust himself for once which led to him falling in love with her, and he wouldn't take that back for anything in the world. He loved her. But as soon as he came to close or was really close to her for a longer time, even kissing her his instincts told him to drain her on blood.
He thought that being around her would be different, it was but he was still a vampire that couldn't fully control his thirst and she was a human girl. So during the circumstances they were in her being a vampire too wasn't the worst idea.
He knew that she meant what she had said earlier that day in the library. She was willing to become like him. But if things were going to be fair he was going to tell her the cons about vampirism.
But he knew that he couldn't change her. He knew that if he tried he'd end up killing her.
While thinking about all of this Jasper sat in the living room, staring out the windows and into the green forest of Forks.
"Jasper, it's gonna be fine alright. You don't have to worry, you are not gonna hurt her." Edward told his brother, he was annoyed but still worried about his brother.
"He's right Jasper, iv'e seen her as one of us. Okay, it's going to be fine." the small pixie looking girl told her brother while looking up from her fashion magazine.
"Your visions can always change" Jasper mumbled, while he was looking at his hands. He was back to being the weakest and he was actually getting sick of it. He just wanted to be with her and not have to worry about killing her because he wasn't strong enough to control himself.
"Son, I know that if the choice between taking the easy way or the one that's right, you will choose whats right." Carlisle told Jasper, but Jasper just nodded. He was still grateful for their comfort.
After calming himself down from thinking he was weak he speed over to Anya's house. When he'd dropped her of after school he had been tense and afraid even angry at himself for not being able to kiss her properly. He wanted to he wanted to so bad. He had waited for her for over a hundred years. She had tried to convince him to trust himself and he had agreed to come to her house again later.
When he neared her crimson red brickhouse he heard screaming, from both Anya and her parents. He immediately thought that she was hurt but after eavesdropping for just a few seconds he knew that wasn't the case. They were arguing.
Then he heard Anya shut her bedroom door so the vampire quickly ran inside only to find Anya crying on her bed.
"Darlin' what happened?" Jasper asked as he carefully sat down beside her.
The redhead quickly dried her tears as she saw Jasper sitting on her bed next to her. "What happened with Hi?" Anya then said trying to change he conversation but Jasper saw right trough it.
"You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to, just know that I'm here for you, always."
Anya smiled while a tear feel down her cheek. "Thank you Jasper, that means a lot." she said while rolling closer to him. But right now it didn't bother him that she was being close, mainly because it wasn't close like that but because he wanted to be there for her.
After two minutes of total silence Anya looked up at Jasper who immediately looked back at her. His eyes were golden, probably more now than ever.
"My dad is moving back to town" Anya said out of nowhere "And he's an addict"
"I'm so sorry" Jasper said as he laid down next to her, he knew that this was hard for her and all he wanted to be close to her right now. Somehow save her from all this shit.
"My mom and stepdad wants me to spend the weekends there now, they said that they need time for themselves." she begun "We haven't really talked since I was about 13, but my stepdad says that quote 'he's still your father and you can't be mad at him forever'. But I still feel like I have very right to be, he put me trough hell, with all those stupid pills" she mumbled audible enough for Jasper to hear it.
"Your totally righ- someone's coming" Jasper said before hiding behind Anya's door as it opened to reveal Scott and Anya's mother Charlotte.
"Since you are not yet eighteen you will be spending your weekends with your father and that's final." Charlotte said while Anya stared at her with angry eyes, mascara smudged around her eyes and tears forming in her ice blue eyes.
"To hell with that" Anya said as she walked over and slammed her door in her mom and stepdads faces.
