Chapter 28!

Elizabeth slowly opened her eyes when she heard a straight beeping sound, she felt someone take hold of her hand. She heard a female's voice saying her name, she soon saw a blurry outline of a woman looking down at her. There was a tightening sensation around her right arm, she noticed a blood pressure cuff. A dark haired nurse wearing a blue nurse's dress gave her a kind smile while she began to pump up the blood pressure cuff.

" Hello Elizabeth, do you remember me?" She asked.

" Yes, you're nurse Clark." Elizabeth replied while she watched the cuff around her arm deflate. " What's going on? Why are you taking my blood pressure?"

" That's correct, it seems like you're not suffering from short term memory lose this time." She said with a smile. " You fainted in the dinner hall this morning, you've been out cold for over half an hour which is quite a long time for someone who's suffered from a fainting spell."

" A fainting spell?" Elizabeth asked.

" You're suffering from low blood pressure, it could have caused you to faint." She replied. " How much fluid would you say you drink in a day?"

" I don't know, probably the same amount has every other student at the orphanage." Elizabeth replied.

" I see, how about irregular palpitations or anxiety?" She asked. " Sometimes worrying about things can make your blood pressure plummet, have you been struggling in any of your lessons?"

" My lessons have been going well lately, but I did have a strange fluttering sensation in chest earlier this morning, do you think it has anything to do with my lungs?" Elizabeth asked. " My family have a history of lung disease. My Mother died from Pneumonia and my Grandmother died from respiratory failure..."

" I don't think it lung related, but I'll take some bloods and monitor you for the next couple of hours." She said.

" Okay." Elizabeth said.

" I'll go and fetch you a glass of water to bring your blood pressure back up." She said with a smile. " I'll have to ring Royal Hampshire County Hospital to see if I can get a copy of your families records."

" That makes sense, thank you." Elizabeth said.

" I'll just be a moment, I need to go and find some blood collection tubes." She said. " I'll also see if I can find you some chocolate biscuits, it can be a little treat after I've taken your bloods."

" What about my lessons?" EIizabeth asked.

" You don't have to worry about your lessons, I'm sure you'll be able to join your classmates at some point today." She replied while she drew back the blue curtains of the cubicle. " I won't be long, if you need anything while I'm away you can press the nurse button."

" Okay." Elizabeth nodded.

Nurse Clark left the cubicle. Elizabeth lay back on the bed and sighed to herself while she looked up at the ceiling. She hated the hospital wing of The Wammy House, it was always quiet and empty in this part of the building. It wasn't long until nurse Clark returned with a glass of water and a small metal tray with her blood kit on it, she placed the glass of water down on the hospital table and laid out her blood kit. She soon took Elizabeth's bloods and put a band aid on her arm, she then gave her the glass of water.

" All done." She smiled.

" Thank you." Elizabeth said.

Elizabeth took a sip of her water and looked over at the nurse's station when she heard the telephone ring. Nurse Clark went to answer the phone and left her patient by herself, but she soon noticed someone watching her from underneath the bed in the cubicle next to her. She rolled her eyes when she saw Backup, he gave her a smirk while he half pulled himself from underneath the bed. He licked his top lip and put his hands behind his head, he seemed pleased with himself.
