Percy's POV
It was a bit later in the day when I decided to solo train with my swords. I didn't care if the campers knew who I was, they could be scared of me now. I didn't have to wear my cloak anymore, but I planned on having it on in the final battle, it was tradition. So, unlike all of the rest of the team, I went out with my cloak on, just not my hood. My Dad had fixed the pranks a while ago, so that was nice. Zoe decided to walk and watch me train in the arena today instead of hanging out with everyone else.
When I walked outside, the campers stared at Zoe and I. I had an arm around her waist and she had one around mine. It felt good to be with her, I could talk to her and we could match each other in combat. I felt safe with her, where ever she went, I was home. As we got to the arena, she gave me a peck on the cheek before going to sit on the stands. I summoned some of my dummies from my Dad's planet and took out Void and Destruction. Before I could start, Clarisse, Chris, and the rest of the Seven filed in to watch. I rolled my eyes, which was clearly visible without my hood.
Without warning, I started to slash and stab at the dummies with no problem. Everyone but Zoe looked with wide eyes at my skills with duel blades. When I was done with smashing and stabbing the dummies, I hadn't broken a sweat.
"Zoe, why don't you come down and spar with me?" I asked.
"Why not?" She said with a smirk and came down, instantly trying to catch me off guard while drawing her blades.
We were blocking and slashing with extreme speed and I could see the shock of the other campers out of the corner of my eye. Zoe had pulled hunting knives out, so I had to be careful. I remember one time I was sparring with her and she got under my guard in seconds with her knives. Sooner or later, we ended in a stalemate with my swords at her throat and Zoe's knives at mine.
"Dang it! I really wanted to beat you this time!" She grumbled in frustration as we took our blades away from each other's throats.
"We have landed in a stalemate for the last few thousand years. We aren't going to beat each other anytime soon," I say with a chuckle and wrap my arms around her waist. She leans in and I kiss her on top of her head. Perks of being the taller person in a relationship.
"How do you two go to wanting to rip each other apart then all lovey-dovey? I swear I will never understand teens," My Dad says as he comes into the arena.
"It's a neutral feeling. I will never understand how you can go from a five-year-old attitude to a serious King of the Universe," I say with a smile. I see Astro beside him too, and he's shaking his head at our antics.
"Do you two ever stop bickering?" Astro asks, clearly amused.
"Nope!" My Dad and I answer at the same time.
"That was just freaky," Zoe mumbles.
Then Jason's voice breaks our little family moment, "Since when could you fight like that?"
"Ever since I went to my Dad's planet. Very nice there," I commented nonchalantly.
"Makes sense. I was going to spar you later, but after seeing that, no thanks. I'll get my butt kicked," Piper says.
"Alright then. Hey, Zoe? I'm a bit hungry, lets go get some blue cookies," I say and walk out of the arena.
"When do you not think about food?" She laughs in retaliation.
"I think about food all the time. That reminds me, Astro has never had a blue cookie! Oh my Gods, Dad! We need blue cookies, STAT!" I say, slightly miffed at the idea that my cousin has never had a blue cookie.
