One: The Betrayal

Percy's POV

We have been on the run for 3 days. Will Solace, Nico di Angelo, Thalia Grace, and I have all ran away from Camp Half-Blood. I guess I should fill you in, here we go.

Flashback

I woke up to the familiar sight of Cabin 3. I got out of bed, changed, and grabbed Riptide. Walking to the front of the cabin, I slipped on my tennis shoes. I ran out the door to the dinning pavilion.

When I got there, I sat at my usual spot at the Poseidon table. My plate filled with blue pancakes and blue whip cream. I started to eat my food while Chiron started to talk.

"Good morning campers! Today the hunters will be coming to camp. They are in the area and Lady Artemis was going to let them visit for one week. That is all, have a good day!"

Once I finished, I ran to catch up with Annabeth who was heading to the Athena cabin to grab a book.

"Hey, Annabeth!"

"Seaweed Brain! What do you need now?" She replied with a fake pout.

She came running back, her golden curls bouncing with every step she took. She stopped about a foot away from me.

"I just wanted to say hello before we go off to our morning activities. I know we never really have mornings together anymore with our different responsibilities." I said. We never get to see each other very much. I have to teach and train all morning with swords and she has to work on Olympus.

"Ah, I see. I have lots of work to do today Seaweed Brain. I know that you have to train some campers too. I'll see you around," she said. She came up and gave me a peck on the cheek before she left up to her cabin.

That's when we heard the scream. We raced up Half-Blood Hill looking for the source. We spotted a kid around 16 years old being chased by a cyclops. I brought out Riptide and Annabeth got out her drakon bone sword from the Pit.

"Get the kid to safety! I got this one," I yelled to Annabeth. She gave a small nod and got the kid through the barrier.

I had my own problems. I charged the cyclops and went at him with Riptide. He blocked with his big wooden club. I parried and slashed to the right and my sword dug into his side. He exploded into the familiar golden dust and I ran back into camp. Annabeth was waiting with the boy.

"What's your name kid?" I asked the newbie.

"Alexander Hosh. How did you do that?" He asked.

He was a blonde and had sky blue eyes just like Jason. He had a black T-Shirt that was ripped in several spots and tattered jeans. His sneakers were caked with dried mud. I'm gonna take an estimation and say he's a Zeus kid.

Chiron came up to the small crowd we had gathered from all the commotion.

"Percy, what happened? And who is this new camper?" He asked with weariness and curiosity dancing in his eyes.

"Chiron, this is Alexander H-" I had been interrupted when a lighting bolt and an eagle flashed above Alexander's head.

"All hail Alexander Hosh, son of Zeus, King of the Gods and God of the Sky," Chiron announced. We all bowed in respect to the new Son of Zeus. I guess Jason's going to have a new cabin mate.

Jason came up through the crowd. He switches from Camp Jupiter to Camp Half-Blood quite often.

"Hey, I'm Jason Grace. I'm the head consoler for the Zeus cabin. Welcome to Camp Half-Blood," Jason introduced himself and led the kid down so he could get aquatinted with the place.

Time Skip to later that evening-----

I was walking up to the dining pavilion for dinner. Alexander was getting around nicely and making friends with some campers. I stopped dead in my tracks when the Hunter's Horn blew over the camp. We rushed up to the hill once again to greet Thalia and the hunters.

The rest of the night went well. Alexander got a greeting from Thalia the hunter way. We got caught up on all of her different adventures. Life was great, for now.

The next few months went by in a blur. Something was off though. Alexander started to play pranks on the campers and steal stuff and blame it on me. That's so weird. He was so chill these last few days. Something must of caused him to snap. Whatever, that's a problem for another day.

Then came the final straw. The only people I had left were Annabeth, Nico, Will, Nico's boyfriend, and Thalia. I had grown to hate Alexander because he had turned all of my friends on me. I can't believe they believed him.

I was planning to go on a walk with Annabeth that night along the beach. I found her after dinner, on the beach, kissing Alexander.

"Annabeth? Wh- what's happening?" My voice came out smaller then I meant for it to. Thalia cam up to me with Nico and Will not far behind. She was on a "visit" from the hunters. She really just wanted to make sure Alexander's bullying didn't get out of hand.

Annabeth whipped her head around and rolled her eyes. What was happening?

"Percy, you oblivious fool. What does it look like I'm doing? I'm kissing my Alex. Now go before I make Alex here summon a lightning bolt on top of your head," she said those words full of distaste.

I wanted to scream at her for what she did but Thalia beet me to it.

"ANNABETH HOW COULD YOU! KELP HEAD FELL INTO TARTURUS FOR YOU AND YOU CHEAT ON HIM WITH THIS STUPID BOY!" she spat out boy with disgust. I had to agree with her there.

Then she did something totally crazy, she slapped Annabeth and hugged me. She led me, Nico, and Will back to my cabin.

On the way there I said, "I don't think I can stay here guys. I need to leave."

They all said, "No! You can't go!" I got to say, it was kinda creepy. Then Thalia piped up.

"At least let us go with you, Kelp Head."

"Thalia, don't rope yourself into my problems," I said. I couldn't bear to stand if one of them got hurt because of me.

"We won't let you go alone," she said with defiance so strong it was hard to say no.

"Fine," I grumbled. I know they wouldn't leave me alone anyway. "Go pack. I'll meet you at the tree at midnight."

It was midnight and we were all stationed at the tree. We stepped out of the boarder and our trip began, a trip that would change our lives.
