Chapter 7: Happy Birthday. (part 2)

                                                      Zane

     After Zane had texted Kayla he rolled over, Letting thoughts of Kayla fill his head and he finally fell to sleep. When he woke up the next morning he hurried trough getting ready for school, He was ready to see Kayla again. he hated being away from her. He took the stairs two at a time. he walked into the kitchen to find his mom bent over the newspaper. "Goood morning momma." he said as he got a cup out of the cabinet. "Whoa what has you in such a good mood?" she asked. "Oh nothing just this." he said reaching into his back pocket and pulled out a small silver box and tossed it at her. When she opened it she just smiled. "Well its beautiful. Do i even have to ask who it is for?" his mom inquired. "Its for Kayla, its her birthday today so i stopped and picked it up yesterday after i took her home." he said. "Okay. So i never got a chance to ask you what happened when you dropped her off." his mom asked. "Well we talked and when we finally got to her house before she got out we kissed." Zane said not able to keep the smile from his face. "Huh. you know i think Kayla is good for you. you have been in a much better mood since meeting her." she said. "Mom who wouldnt be happy about finding their soul mate?" he asked. "You would be surprised." his mom said while taking a sip of coffee. "Mom do we have any B- blood left?" Zane asked looking in the mini fridge they kept hidden in the floor by the stove. "No honey i think AB- is all we have. ill have to go by the hospital today and pick some more up." She said. "im in such a good mood i dont care." Zane said pulling a bag out and emptying it into the cup he had pulled down. he put it in the micowave long enough to get it up the body temp and went to sit down at the table with his mom. he was sitting there talking to his mom sipping on his breakfast when he checked the time. "sorry mom got to go, dont want Kayla to think i stood her up." he said. he gulped the rest of the blood down grabbed the box that contained kayla's gift from the table and dashed out the door. They didnt have a specific time that he was supposed to be there but he had a felling she would be waiting for her.  The drive seemed to take forever. When he finally pulled up in the drive way there she was looking beautiful as always. she walked over to his car and got in. "Good morning birthday girl." he said. "Good morning to you too." she said. "Here i got you something." he said reaching over into the dashborad compartment and pulling out the box. He handed it to her. She looked confused and shocked. "Zane you didnt have to get me any thing, really we have only known each other a few days." she said. "i know but i wanted to. and i seen this and thought that you would like it. so stop protesting and open it." he said. she slowly lifted the lid and reviled a beautiful necklace, it had a white gold chain and a simlpe tear drop emerald. Zane got the emerald because the color of it reminded him of her beautiful eyes. She smiled as she took it out of the box. "Zane this is beyond beautiful." she said admirring it. "im happy you like it." he said truly proud that he got something she liked. "Here can you put it on me please?" she asked turning so that it was easier for him. When he was done he looked at it it hung down to the top of her clevege line. "Thank you, so much." she said. "your welcome." He said and started the car and headed to school.
