Chapter 14: Soultions (part 2)

     "You remember how i told you that a vampire is sentenced to death when they feed from a human? Well about 10 years ago my dad broke this law. Me and my mom had no idea. He had been keeping a human  prisoner in a cabin on our land. To feed off of. When the elders discovered this my dad blamed it all on my mother so she was sentenced to death but instead of bowing to the verdict she decided that she was not going to be killed for something my father had done so she packed our things and we ran we have been running every since." Zane said looking at the floor. "Well why dont your mom just tell them the truth?" Kayla asked. "She tried but since my dad had more authority at the time than she did they didnt listen to her. Since then they have interviewed the woman that was being inprisoned and she did in fact indentify my father as the one that had been her capturer. But since my mom ran and went aganist the elders she is still marked." Zane said. "Okay well why are you marked too than you were not involved in any of this." Kayla said. "Because a few years ago i was caught and instructed to bring my mom to them, So i told them i would but i didnt want to betary my mother so instead i told my mom what had happened and we ran again. There for i was marked and sentenced to the same fate as my mother since i chose to protect her." Zane said. "Your laws dont seem to fair if you ask me. You are being hunted because you chose to protect your mom. Where is your dad in all of this?" Kayla asked. "Honestly i dont know. last time i saw him was at my mother's hearing. After that he drained all our bank accounts leaving us with nothing and took off. Which is a good thing because i would kill him if i ever seen him again."  Zane said. "Surely you wouldnt really kill him would you?" Kayla saked. "Yes i would you have no idea what his lies have costed me my whole life. I never was able to have friends because we never knew when we would have to leave where ever we was, just about the time we got comfortable we would have to move again. It has been hard." he said. "Wow im sorry i had no idea." Kayla said. "Its okay. but dont feel sorry for me just yet even though it was nice that you found out about my past that is not why im here. When me and my mom got home tonight we found a symbol on our porch that is from our clan that lets us know they know where we are and we have 48 hours to surrender before they come to get us." Zane said. "So you are leaving again?" Kayla asked. "No i have decided that im not running anymore. I cant leave you and im not going to ask you to leave everyone you love and care about not to mention you have reponsabilites here. You are the next in line to lead your pack. I am not asking you leave because of my past problems." he said. "Than what are you going to do they are going to come for you and im going out on a limb here and guess that you cant take on all of them at one time?" Kayla said. "No i cant but maybe i can negoticate with them." Zane said. "So you are just going to hand your self over to them?" Kayla said. "If that is what i have to do than yes. If me and my mom left it would only be a matter of time before they find out that you are my mate and they will use you to get to me in any way they can. They wont kill you but they will torture you to no end to get you to tell them where we went. and even if we did tell you where we went i know your wolf would never let you tell them and im not going to allow that. To happen to you."  Zane said. "Well i cant let you just surrender yourself to them just so they can kill you. Just in case you didnt know when a werewolf finds their mate they have a deep connection to the other they can feel when the other dies and that can make a werewolf go crazy and eventually die of a broken heart.... literatlly. So you just surrendering is out of the question." Kayla said. "Well what do you suggest we do? Im not leaving you, Not only do i not want to i cant. And me staying id basically sucide for both of us." Zane said. Kayla stood up and headed to her door "Where are you going?" Zane asked. "I think i might have a soultion but i need my dad's help and im sure after i tell him what is going on he will help." Kayla said. "Kayla i honestly dont think your dad needs to be woken up to vampire problems. Maybe you should wait till morning to talk to him about it." He said. "Your right maybe WE should wait to talk to him in the morning." Kayla said. "Wait did you say WE?" he asked. "Sure did your going to talk him with me so that you can give him the right answers to questions he asks." Kayla said. "Good point and maybe ill live to hear this soultion of yours." Zane said. "My dad is not going to kill you. Karma wouldnt let him. and its my mom you have to worry about anyway. she has already lost one kid and you just put her only remaining child in danger." Kayla said. "oh wonderful." Zane said with scarcasm.
