Chapter 27: Discovering the Truth

                                                                            KAYLA'S POV 

     I heard my dad when he said that we have no other choice. When he stepped aside i walked to the front. I could see the shock on Alex's face. Apparently he thought i was dead. As did the rest of the Elders from the look on their faces. "Mark you said that your daughter was shot." The black haired guy said. "Yes sir i was but i recovered. I can show you the scar if you would like. and i'm sorry i didn't catch your name." I said. "That will not be nesscary. and my name is William. But what we are going to need from you is some of your blood and for this to work we will need to drink stright from you." He said. "But I thought drinking form a human is against the laws?" I asked. William slightly smiled. "Kayla you are a werewolf not human but it is still up to you if you don't want us to than that is that we wont.'" He said. "It's okay if it gets the truth out of what Alex has been doing to my kind i will do it." I said. "When why don't we meet in the middle and let the truth be revealed." He said. I slowly approached the meeting point and got there as William did. I moved my hair to the side, As i did i heard a low hiss behind me. I knew it was Zane with out looking. "Kayla the neck area is reserved for your mate only. I can get all i need from your wrist." He said clearly hearing Zane. I lifted my arm and he took it and raised it to his mouth before biting me he warned "This will not be pleasent." then he sunk his teeth into my flesh. After just a few seconds he pulled back and licked the place where his teeth has periced closeing them. "Thank you Miss Kayla what i have found out from you is very helpful. I appericate it." He said bowing his head to me. And headed to the other Elders so i headed back to my pack. 

     Brothers and sisters I have tasted this young lady's blood and you have all witnessed what she knew. There is no doubt that Alex is guilty of more crimes than there is worth mentioning. Let us discuss what we shall do with him." He said and they all gathered into a small circle while a couple of guys took Alex by the arms. I seen the fear in his eyes like he knew what was about to happen. When the Elders were finished talking William turned and looked at Alex. "Alex you have broken several laws by helping Keith escape from us numerous times and wiping out werewolf packs for no reason." Alex cut him off "There was a reason. They all deserve to die they are a threat to our kind. It would be better to kill them all so that our race can one day control the humans." Keith said. "WE DO NOT WISH TO RULE THE HUMAN RACE! We only wish to live in peace eith umans and werewolves. With that said You are hereby stripped of your Elder title." William said and reached down and yanked a pendent that was hanging from his neck off of him. "As wel as sentenced to death. Do you have any last words before the sentence is carried out?" William finished. Alex looked at me "You stupid bitch i should have killed you myself instead of trusting that moron to do it."  Alex said. Then out of no where he yanked his arms from the two guys easily over powering him and was headed stright for me.

                                                            ZANE'S POV

      I seen it as soon as it happened Alex had gotten free of the guards and was headed for Kayla with a murdurous look in his eyes. Bfore i knew what i was doing i knocked Kayla out of the way and  meet Alex before he got to her. I knew i was no match for him but at least i knew Kayla was safe with her pack he was no treat to them alone and he didn't have the support of the elders to help him. It was over really before it started i punched him once in the face but he recovered quickly he came at me again and i was able to dodge himwhen he passed me i grabbed him from behind and threw him over my shoulder causing him to hit the ground on his back. Before he had a chance to get up i was on top of him and before i knew it i had completely pulled his head from his body. I felt his body under me turn to dust and then his head kinda just crumbled in my hands. The Alex part was over but we still had to worry about Keith. I felt a warm small hand on my shoulder if i had not known it was Kayla i would have attacked who ever it was. "Its okay he is dead." She said in a loving voice. I stood up and turned towards the Elders i pulled Kayla Behind me and with out turning around i started walking backwards to the pack. "Mr. Zane i am very surprised not many normal Vampires espically your age can take down a elder well former elder vampire." William said. "My mate was in danger." Was all i said. William took a deep breath "Well it seems that the only matter left to address is Keith. So lets get on with it." He said. "Excuse me elder." there was a voice behind me it was my mom. "Yes Linda." He said smiling. "I was wondering if you would allow me the honor of killing the man that has made my life complete hell and that had me and our son running in fear for so long?" She asked. I was not prepared to hear that come from my mom. She has always been so nice. But she was right he was the cause of everything that had happened in our lives. "Linda are you sure you know what you are asking for?" William asked. "I do." She said apporaching him. "Then by all means Go ahead." He said handing her a stake. i turned Kayla's head into my chest. She had just seen me rip a vampire's head off but i didn't want her to see this. "Linda i'm sorry for what i have put you and Zane trough. I really am." Keith started saying. "No your not if you was you would have just come out and sau that it was you that i had nothing to do with it. You would not have let me take the fall." She said. "Believe it or not i am sorry and i do..." Before he could finish my mom shoved the stake right into his chest. I seen her let out a deep breath and she looked different like a huge weight had been lifted off her chest. as His body turned to ash.  She then turned and rejoined us in the pack. "Alpha MArk i truly hope you accept our apoligies we have no idea of Alex's attentions." William said. "I do and i hope there can be peace between us once again." Mark said, "As do i. Now we must leave. We will have a lot to do once we get back. So until we meet again, good bye." And with that william and the rest of the elders vanished into the woods.
