Chapter 29: Epilogue

                                                                             KAYLA'S POV

    So it has been 6 months since the whole elder ordeal. Randy left the pack and no one has heard anything from him. So that too was settled. Every since everything has settled down the need to put my mark on Zane has gotten stronger. Almost to a point where it was painful. I have had to fight back Karma more times than i can count. Finally after talking to my dad and explaining to him how hard it was he agreed to let me and Zane get married. Honestly it really surprised me. But in the werewolf community it was not strang for a a young girl to get married. After our first shift we are considered adults. I think the only reason my dad said no as long as he did was because he did not want to accept that i was grown. 

     Now here i was standing in front of this full length mirorr staring at myself wearing a beautiful white wedding dress. The one that my mom had wore on her wedding day. it had long slevees made of lace and the dress itself was made of satin. There was buttons going from the top of the dress to right above my butt. the whole dress pratically hugged my body until it came to my hips where it slightly let out a little to allow me to walk. "Oh sweetheart you look beautiful." I heard my mom gush behind me. "Thanks mom. But i think you did this dress more justice when you wore it than i do." I said. "I don't know about that. I think you both wear it perfectly." My dad said standing beside my mom. "I can't believe that my babygirl is getting married." Mom said. "Mom please don't start crying again. Missy would hurt me if i mess up my makeup, again." I said. As if on queue Missy who was also my bridesmaid, walked in. "Damn right i will. It took me hours to get you to look perfect." She said smiling. "Right. Sorry." Mom said with a smile. "Alright every one ready? Its time to get started." Missy said. "as ready as i'll ever be." I said. So we all lined up and i heard the music start. When it was my turn i hooked one arm trough my dad's then i noticed there was someone standing on my other side. It was Nick. He held his arm out to me "May i?" He asked. I didn't say anything and i just hooked my arm trough his although no one else could see him it would look strange walking like that but i didn't care i knew that Nick was there and that is all that mattered. We heard the traditional song play as i walked out into the little clearing that for so many years had been my escape with Nick. I also picked this place because this is where Zane and I had gotten to know eachother along with so many other events. I made my way down the asile to the man i would soon call my husband. 

                                                                                ZANE'S POV

      I was standing in the front watching everyone walk down the asile waiting for Kayla to come down. I honestly didn't mind standing up here in front of all these werewolfs. Over the last few months i Had gotten to know alot of them and they were really nice people. I was pulled out of my thoughts when i herad the song that Kayla would walk down to start playing when she entered the clearing i know that if my heart had a herat beat it would have stopped. She looked absoublty beautiful. That is when i noticed that she wasnot only accompied by her dad but also by Nick. When they reached me i took Kayla's hand as the pastor asked who gives this woman to  this man mark of course said "Her mother and I" before kissing her hand and placing it in mine. "You better take care of her or you will have me to deal with and when it comes to protecting my sister i'm not nice. Got it?" Nick asked. I nodded my head before turning to ook at Kayla. the sevice was pretty quick we had worte our own vows. When we were done the pastor said the words i had been waiting on " YOu may kiss your bride." That kiss was the best kiss we had ever had between us she was mine and i was forever hers. Life could never be better.

                                                                      KAYLA'S POV 

                 our reception was just about over for us. Me and Zane were leaving in just a few minutes for our honeymoon. We was just about to leave when i seen Nick standing off on the side. "I will be right back i need to say bye to someone first." I said to Zane. "Okay." He said knowing who i was talking about. When i reached NIck I smailed. "Hey bro." i said. "HEy pigtails. congrats. I like knowing that I'm leaving you while your this happy." He said. "What? your leaving? You can't. I still need you. There is still so much that you need to be here to see. and so much that i need to tell you. You can't leave, not yet." I said while the tears fell from my eyes. "Ssshhh. It will be just fine. there is nothing you need to tell me. I know you love me. Even though you won't be able to see me i will always be able to see you. But my time here is over i was sent here to help you convert to being a werewolf and i have done my job. It is time i went back." Nick said. "But i don't want you to." I said. "i know sis, and i don't want to go either. But i have to, i have no choice. Just remember i love you and i will always be here watching over you. Tell mom and dad that i love them and that i don't blame them one bit that i died during the first shift. It wasn't their fault." He said. "I will. I love you too. Goodbye." I said. "goodbye pigtails." he said. I watched him vanish and a little part of my heart broke. "At least you got to say goodbye to him this time." Zane said walking up behind me wrapping me in his arms. "Yeah your right. What do you say we start our honeymoon." I said. "That sopunds like a great idea to me." Zane said. After saying our good byes to everyone we left our reception going to our honeymoon spot. Zane would not tell me where we were going just that i was going to love it. So i closed my eyes and fell asleep.

      When i opened them zane was taking our bags into a small rustic looking cabin in the middle of the woods. I opened my door and stepped out taking in the place it was dark but i still could see. "Its beautiful." was all i could say. "I thought you would like it i figured with it being so close to the full moon it would be nice to have some room for you to run after you shift." He said. "YOu are so thoughtful." I said. Zane scoped me off my feet in a bridal motion and walked me into the cabin. Honestly i did not look around at the inside i was too busy kissing my husband. Zane never paused or broke our kiss as he walked to the bedroom and gently put me down on the bed. I was lost with desire and never wanted to stop as things got hot and heavy. When we were nearing the end i tried to keep from doing it but Karma won and i marked Zane. I heard him let out a small pleasureable moan which trough me in too a new form of ecasty. When we were finally done we were both too tired to even talk we just cuddled up and went to sleep.

       The next morning i woke up and was laying on Zane's chest. I was so quiet that i could hear my heartbeat. Then i noticed something i was hearing two heartbeats. I quickly sat up. Which woke up Zane. "Kayla baby what's wrong?" he asked looking around. "I heard another heartbeat." I said tracking down the sound it was coming from Zane. He realized it about the same time i did. His heart was beating! I put my hand on his chest and felt the thumping trough his skin, his warm skin. "How is this possible?" He asked putting his hand over mine. "I don't know. But we need to call my dad." I said. "No this is ou honeymoon and we are going to enjoy this. we will worry about whatever this is when we go home." he said pulling me to him and kissing me geantlly buti could still feel the need behind it. "Okay you win." I said kissing him back.
