Chapter 24

Chan's POV Cont'd.

My stomach sank like a rock.

"Whenever?"

Her dad rubbed his tired face and sighed hard.

"You truly seem to be a good friend to my daughter so I'll tell you the truth. She has multiple contusions because of how hard she fell and if I'm saying this right, it caused a small brain bleed. The doc said it should resolve itself but they're gonna keep her under observation because they don't know when she'll wake up."

Something dripped on my hands.

"Chris honey, don't cry," her mom said, wiping my face.

"I'm so sorry," I tried to laugh through my tears, roughly wiping my cheeks with the back of my hand. "I hadn't even realized. I-um- I think I should go and check on my mates."

They nodded their heads in agreement. "That's probably a good idea. Here's my keys, just when you're done, can you grab my little girl some clothes?" I gave a firm yes, grabbed the keys and headed out the door.

The drive into the city was quiet. My mind was racing a mile a minute and all the questions I had was geared at one person.

"Where is he?" I spit as I barged through the airbnb door.

"Channie Hyung, please calm down," Jeongin begged. "He's been crying since we got back."

"I don't care!" I walked straight into the living room where I found Felix, holding tightly onto Minho, face beat up and eyes bloodshot. My anger kept me from feeling too bad for him.

"Get up... Get Up!" I demanded in English. He did as I asked but couldn't look me in eye. "Did we not talk about this?"

"I mean we did but—" He started.

"No buts... what did we talk about?"

Felix Flashback POV

"Okay, we'll see you guys at the park," I said, closing the door behind me. I was heading to New Jersey to pick up my friends from airport.

I'd been counting down the days to this gender reveal. Today's the day we confirm that Kimmie's having my son. I'm so excited that I can't keep a smile off my face.

Getting the guys took about half an hour which was surprising. Getting them here without getting caught by netizens was so hard. Lucky for us, one of seniors was touring, taking the spotlight off us.

"Are you excited?" Changbin Hyung asked as I drove down the highway.

"I'm more than excited," I admitted. I pressed a little heavier on the gas, trying to get to the park as fast as possible. "Today's gonna be a good day! We're gonna officially find out if she's having my son today."

"It could not be yours Felix," Minho Hyung mumbled. I almost brake checked the car behind me with how hard I slammed on the brakes.

"Minho, that was that uncalled for!" Channie Hyung chastised.

"What do you mean uncalled for?! It's the truth! As much as we want this baby to be Felix's, there's a possibility that he won't be, and we can't act like the chance isn't there!" He combatted.

"Doesn't mean you have to bring it up," Seungmin interjected.

"It's not like it's a moot point we can just ignore!" He doubled down. "Somebody has to be the voice of reason because it seems like everyone is forgetting that we're sharing this event with Jackson and GOT7."
