Isabelle hadn't spoken to me for a while. I sat on my bed waiting for a message off her, or anything really. But there was nothing, no sign of her. That was when there was a knock at the door and I heard my dad answer it. I heard distant conversation then suddenly my door swung open and Isabelle was stood in my room.
My mouth hung open in shock.
"Close your jaw it's only me, I accidentally took your book home yesterday so you have mine" she said. She did not sound happy at all.
"Oh Uh my bad I'll get it now" I mumbled looking through my backpack.
"Careful not to break your girlfriends necklace why you're in there" she huffed sassily. I paused what I was doing and furrowed my eyebrows.
"What?" I said confused.
"Don't pretend you didn't hear" she rolled her eyes.
"You...know about that?" I asked.
"Yeah idiot I do I was trying to do something nice for you and find a necklace in your bag for someone else" she retorted folding her arms.
"Are you gonna give me my book or not?!" She said looking at my bag.
"I'm so confused right now" I said sitting up right.
"What's so confusing you lead me on" she accused.
"Okay what does that even mean cause if it's bad I definitely didn't" I said standing in front of her.
"You so did" she huffed.
"Isabelle it was for you!" I said holding her by the shoulders.
"What?" She said raising a brow.
"I originally was going to give it to you yesterday but when I heard about the dance I thought I'd give it to you later and ask you to go to the dance with me" I blurted out watching her face change.
"Wow I ruined everything" she whispered.
"No! No you didn't it's okay I can still ask you now let me go get the necklace" I said rushing to my bag."So will you go to the dance with me?" I asked.
"Sure why not?" She smiled at me. I couldn't hide the grin that had forced itself onto my face .I finally did it.
