Tonight was the big school dance and I was already ready. I was wearing a red and black flannel shirt with a white T shirt and jeans. I was so excited to see isabelles amazing dance moves that she wouldn't shut up about.
"Charles are you ready?" My dad asked.
"Yeah" I replied.
"I'll drive you" he said muffling my hair.
"Dad stop you'll ruin it!" I scholded as he laughed.
"Don't laugh at him he looks handsome" my mom gushed kissing my cheek.
I heard daisy my sister scoff in the background.
"What're you scoffing at?" I scowled at her.
"You" she laughed in my face.
"Why!" I huffed.
"Why're you even going to the school dance?" She asked.
"Because I'm going with a girl I'll have you know" I said proudly.
"Oooh how much are you paying her?" She said sarcastically.
"I'm not" I said angrily.
"Charlie you know mom and dad don't work to pay girls to pretend to like you for school dances" she continued.
"Now now kids" my dad said as I stuck my tongue out at my ten year old sister who had now walked away.Once I was in the car dad was bombarding me with questions about Isabelle and it was getting on my nerves.
"Dad stop! It's not like I'm gonna marry her or anything you're hardly becoming a father in law!" I yelled slumping back into my seat. He rolled his eyes before smirking.
"Now now don't throw a tantrum otherwise I'll have to confiscate your tea towels tonight"
"Don't tell anyone about that! I don't even need them anymore!" I blurted out knowing full well I still sleep with an old tea towel.
"You forget I check on you every night" he said as I turned away embarrassed.Once I arrived I went to step out of the car but dad grabbed my arm.
"Charlie I'm sorry but mom wants pictures for her scrapbook" he said. I huffed and pulled fake smile for him to take a picture of.
"You're not sorry" I muttered. Instead of responding he just grinned and I got out of the car and practically ran inside. That was when I saw Isabelle sat at a table right next to Sam.
